Loot Lake is an area on the map of Fortnite’s Battle Royale mode.

Description

Loot Lake, as the name suggests, is a very large lake. There were some industrial buildings on the western shore as well as a mansion on the island in the middle of the lake. Contrary to its name, however, there is rather little loot to be found near Loot Lake, which is why few players jump off at this spot. In fact, rarely more than two people stray there.

In a normal game, you can find six to eight chests at Loot Lake, but they are very far apart. So getting from one to the next takes a lot of time, which is another reason why the area is sparsely visited. Players who are trying to get as many kills as possible or find good equipment should rather look in other places.

With – Season 6 of Battle Pass there was a change in the world, whereby the island with the mansion now floats above the lake. The culprit is one of the cubes, as they already appeared on the map towards the end of – Season 5.

For a while, Loot Lake was renamed Leaky Lake, but that was changed back during – Season 7.

During – Season 8, excavation work began in the middle of Loot Lake, and a large metal bunker was unearthed. This eventually turned out to be a vault. During the Nexus event, the vault was opened and players could select a weapon that was in the vault to bring it back into the game.

Things to know

• This area lent itself especially well to snipers, as it was a large, open area. If someone was on their way to Villa, they had virtually no cover at all.
• In the tunnel below Villa, there was a chance of a chest and some loot spawning.

BATTLE ROYALE

In Fortnite Battle Royale, you’ll jump off the battle bus above the island and fight until it’s just you left. You can also team up with friends or other players and take on the opposing teams. Make use of the materials wood, stone and metal to construct helpful buildings.

In Fortnite Battle Royale you can always look forward to new content, including new items, weapons, vehicles, custom modes, special events and “- Season s”. Each new – Season changes the island with its own theme. For example, it has already been taken over by secret agents and caught in a flood.
