Fortnite Items – Sound Wall Trap

Sound Wall Trap

The Sound Wall is an amazing trap that adds a very unique crowd control characteristic to the game. When it goes off, husks dance. That’s right, IT MAKES HUSKS DANCE! Except for Mist Monsters. In that case it can stun them once their impact threshold has been breached. However dancing husks do NOT stop moving forward. Bosses respond however their husk type normally would.

These traps are one of the few traps with the ability to make propane husks drop their propane tank on the ground, once activated. Making the Sound Wall invaluable to ALL of your builds. Especially AFK, stall and/or jail builds.

They are one of two wall traps that can work through reverse stairs or slanted walls. Rivaling the Wall Dart trap for use in that scenario. These work really well in conjunction with Floor Launchers and Tar Pit traps. Floor Launchers for resetting husks dancing near your objective walls and Tar Pit traps to keep husks from moving forward after dancing.

Cons

The one downside to this trap is the material cost. Epic version requires two Quartz Crystals and four mechanical parts, while the Legendary requires three Quartz Crystal and five Mechanical Parts per trap. You won’t want to craft just one trap. You will want to craft many. This will become heavily demanding on your resources over time.

Recommendations

The impact only applies versus mist monsters the dance effect is automatic against regular enemies so impact has no real effect against normal enemies. The ICD for being flagged as “undanceable” lasts about 4-5 seconds.
