Fortnite actually wants players to celebrate

In , there has been a battle for domination of the island since IO and the Seven started fighting. The Seven want to prevent IO from using a precious energy source for evil. Despite a gritty storyline and many twists, gamers find it all boring. They want wacky Fortnite missions back again.

What’s going on in Fortnite right now? In Fortnite right now players are fighting side by side with the Seven to stop the machinations of IO. They are fighting on the front lines and capturing places that IO has claimed for itself.

This reduces the influence of the imagined order on the new island. But players don’t feel like these serious battles. They would rather do fun missions and quests instead of putting a stop to terrorists.

Driving lessons with a banana are more exciting than battles

On Reddit, user potatoinabeanie created a thread saying that driving lessons with Peely the banana are more interesting than the important battles between IO and the Seven.

He is not alone in this opinion: Many players comment under potatoinabeanie’s post that they are actually bored with the main story around retaking the island compared to the side missions.

In doing so, user RiddleEatsRainbow says the following on the thread: “Peely’s driving is much more interesting than the constant infighting of the Seven, to be honest.”

Despite a gritty story with lots of twists and cool fights, this obviously doesn’t pick up many players. They’d rather have missions in the character of Fortnite. Crazy driving lessons with a banana are just part of it. However, when it gets more serious, it gets boring for many.

Why is that? Following the storyline of – Season 2 in Chapter 3, everything started relatively plain. Sneak missions where players had to wander from A to B and set up satellites and more spy work.

Once the preparations were complete, the Seven began to finally confront the IO. Players were able to participate in the battles as a way to help the Seven.

After each completed week, a base fell and so it went for weeks now. It follows a boring pattern, with no unpredictable twists that could bring excitement to the game.

So far, every battle has been won by the Seven. Players therefore also expect the Seven to win these clashes as well.

Although a large battle is being waged, there is little to no collateral damage so far – zeppelins even go into the sea for their crash, just so the map isn’t destroyed. All of these are things that players don’t really find exciting in the short or long run. That’s why absurd banana missions are much more fun in such a serious scenario.

They lighten the mood and give the situation a wacky Fortnite style, and that’s exactly what players want.
