Once working with professionals thought the developers of Modern Warfare 2, but just a football star now leaked the first images of the game. Santa Monica, California – Modern Warfare 2 is nearing completion. The first lucky ones are already allowed to test the new Call of Duty. Among them professional athletes. The stars have posted quite unabashedly pictures of the event and confirm incidentally one of the biggest leaks. The players are happy, but the publisher Activision is likely to intervene soon, so be quick.

Modern Warfare 2: Maps leaked – this is what the maps look like
Who are the leaks coming from? Call of Duty held a preview event where the first lucky ones were already allowed to play Modern Warfare 2, which is coming in October. Of course, everything is top secret. But 2 football pros from the LA Rams didn’t stick to the embargo. Probably spurred on by their Super Bowl victory this year, they post 2 pictures of the multiplayer of Modern Warfare 2. So the leaks don’t come from dataminers or insiders as usual, but from athletes.
Here are the banned posts: FYI, it may be that Activision, the publisher of Call of Duty, has the images blocked. Then the posts would also be deleted. We therefore also describe to you what you see on the pictures.
DMZ is in CoD: The first picture shows 2 soldiers with modern equipment, probably a Scar and some kind of desert setting. You can see the game mode selection below. The highlight is hidden in the upper right corner of the picture: it says “DMZ”.
There has been a lot of speculation about DMZ. It is supposed to be a kind of Tarkov Light. You will be dropped in a quite open world and have to fight for survival and collect loot. You keep the found stuff, but lose it when you die and other players can rob you. Your goal is to get out of the area. Here we have all the info on the new Tarkov mode DMZ from Modern Warfare 2.
The second image reveals less, although it shows more in better quality. We see the lobby screen and a heavily armed soldier in focus. You can see the menu elements well. At the bottom is a DualSense controller from the PS5 and a baseball cap with the MW logo. The interface is very reminiscent of Modern Warfare 2019.
How trustworthy are the leaks? The pictures should be real. Events like this have happened many times in the past, and even in hits like FIFA, sports stars are allowed to play new games before anyone else, or in CoD, rapper Snoop Dogg. Still, keep in mind that things may change before the release of Modern Warfare 2 in October, as the game is still in development.

Modern Warfare 2: DMZ for free?
Here’s how the community reacts: Many users write that the stars will now get in trouble from Activision, because they share the still under lock and key information so publicly. Others humorously say that if they were breaking the rules anyway, they might as well have made a video. There is much joy about the confirmation of DMZ.
Even though the fans are already hot for the new CoD, one thing is causing trouble. In Modern Warfare 2, a hated feature is supposed to return. The community went on the barricades at the mere mention.
