First trailer of the most extensive FIFA ever!

Electronic Arts announced FIFA 23 tonight – the publisher’s final game under the FIFA banner. It will also be the most comprehensive in the franchise’s decades-long history.

EA and EA Sports kept their word and released the trailer for the new FIFA 23 tonight. At the same time they went into the numerous new features, because the last FIFA from EA will also be the largest so far.

For an authentic experience and the achievement of the next gameplay evolution stage should provide above all the new HyperMotion2 technology. The further development of the technology and the physics system should make the game experience even more intense. The movements of the teams and the players are everywhere on the lawn according to EA “even more reactive, even more intelligent and even more authentic”. There’s a new intelligent dribbling system, more natural and fluid shot transitions, new acceleration mechanics, improved player awareness and more.

Separate from these gameplay innovations, there’s also a lot going on in terms of content: women’s club teams are making their debut in FIFA 23 – something that was to be expected considering Sam Kerr is on the cover. The premiere is said to be supported by completely new animations based on the movements of real players. In addition to the women’s club teams, the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand is also on board, as is the 2022 FIFA Men’s World Cup in Qatar.

What’s in it license-wise? There is – once again – a lineup of the world’s biggest stars, teams and stadiums. Over 19,000 original players, more than 700 teams, over 100 stadiums and more than 30 leagues are included in FIFA 23 – including the Barclays Women’s Super and Division 1 Arkema. Also exclusive to the FIFA series are the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, UEFA Europe Conference League, CONMEBOL Libtertaodres, CONMEBLO Sudamericana, Premier League, Bundesliga and LaLiga Santander.

Game modes continue to include Career Mode, Pro Clubs, Volta Football, Ultimate Team and more. New is a center coaching system to help less experienced players get started. By the way, another very important feature will be added to the series: Cross-Play! This allows you to compete against players on other consoles, which EA wants to connect football fans more than ever.

Apart from that, it should be noted that the state of the PC version is finally being brought into line with that of the console versions. Since 2020, EA has eschewed next-gen features for the PC version in order to keep system requirements low, much to the chagrin of PC gamers. That ends with FIFA 23 and PC players can now enjoy the full feature set.

Also the release date of the game developed by EA Vancouver and EA Romania is delivered right away: On September 30, it goes on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, Stadia, PS4 and Xbox One. Buyers of the Ultimate Edition will get an advance access from September 27, 2022.
