Pitch Notes about FIFA 22 Crossplay
EA Sports will soon start with the Crossplay feature in FIFA 22. According to the Pitch Notes it will be the Online Friendly Match and Online – Season mode. The following questions were answered as well:
What does Crossplay mean and in which modes is this feature available?
Crossplay is a feature that allows you to play games against other people across platforms. For example, PlayStation players can play against Xbox players.
Modes that can be played via crossplay are: Online Friendlies and Online – Season s.
Platforms that will support crossplay are: PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Stadia.
Why is there crossplay only in these two modes?
Access to crossplay was limited to two modes to avoid problems. The data and feedback will then help implement crossplay in future titles.
How do I enable/disable crossplay in FIFA 22?
As soon as the crossplay feature is available in FIFA 22 you will see a crossplay widget with the status in the bottom right corner of the FIFA 22 menu. With the R2-/ RT-key you can open the cross-play menu window and activate/deactivate crossplay.
How can I play Online – Season s via Crossplay?
If you have crossplay enabled, then you don’t need to do anything else. Go into Online – Season s mode and have fun.

Last evening a source code snippet of FIFA 22 was posted on Twitter, in which several terms matching the upcoming crossplay feature have appeared.
