FIFA Community: Numbers Up event the worst promo in FIFA 22!

The Numbers Up was blatantly hyped in 22 Ultimate Team…. until the team and the SBCs appeared. Now the community is more than disappointed.

What was going on there, EA? Sure, the cards look cool, but what exactly did we get out of it? The Numbers Up event was a flop and the community is (quite rightly) upset about the pointlessness of these cards. Let’s summarize what particularly bothers FIFA players.

That’s why the Numbers-Up-Event is the worst promo in FIFA 22.
We have already mentioned what the Numbers-Up cards are about in this article. But this much in advance: It’s about Adidas advertising faces, which EA has chosen and provided them with special cards. What is already a first hint that the event is a disaster are the prices of the cards. Most of the kickers can be afforded by any casual player. And we just had the market crash….

The reason for the low prices: Disinterest. The FIFA community is simply not interested in the cards. Why should they? Not only is the cherry on the cake missing here – we don’t even have a cake yet! Another reason are the many special cards – a problem that has been on the community’s nerves for years. EA doesn’t manage to calm down a bit and bring less special cards into the game. Therefore, the players are simply overwhelmed with the many events and promos. Even the Numbers Up SBCs were nothing special….

Upgrades to Numbers Up cards: Why not until April?

The orange Adidas cards get the upgrades in December and April. That’s right, in April! Who still pays attention to the small improvements? The community certainly doesn’t, another reason for the event’s flop. In April we already got the TOTY (and knowing EA 10 more events), additionally we are approaching the Team of the – Season s. The German FIFA-YouTuber Gamerbrother almost summarizes the dilemma quite appropriately:

By the way: Flo Neuhaus or Mats Hummels may be cool guys in real life, in FIFA 22 EA has not even allowed the two top players meta values. That’s why we can definitely understand the reaction of the FIFA community. Don’t we all enjoy the early days in FIFA the most? Where not everyone comes at you with a Rainbow team?
