In FIFA 23, the meta will definitely be different from the FUT 22 meta, but you can already be very sure which players will dominate the game again in the upcoming Ultimate Team.
While it may be boring when everyone in FIFA Ultimate Team competes with a similar squad, meta players just make gameplay a whole lot easier for you. Every FIFA Pro relies on them in the Weekend League or official events, so why not use meta players?
But what exactly is the meta in FIFA? Does it always stay the same? Small spoiler: No, at least something changes every year. Reason enough for us to tell you what’s likely to await you in FIFA 23: here are some players who will dominate the FUT Meta in the coming year!
What is Meta in FIFA?
The meta in FIFA Ultimate Team changes every year. Even if you often read on the Internet that EA Sports simply press ctrl + c and ctrl + v for each new part, at least in the meta this is not true.
It is therefore always very difficult to predict what the meta will be in the next title – also with FIFA 23. Where you can always be quite sure: players with a lot of speed – no matter what position they play – are more popular and are used more often than slow footballers. So they’re actually always meta. Everything else remains to be seen, you just have to play the game yourself to get a feel for it.
What are the meta players in FIFA 23?
Meta players are extremely important in every FIFA part and should therefore be a central part of your squad. You’ll have a hard time without them in Squad Battles, Division Rivals or the Weekend League – and you don’t want to miss out on the rewards for your hard work, do you?
Fortunately, FIFA has a relatively wide range of meta players… and the more FUT events are released throughout the year, the larger the meta pool will be. Also means for you that each of the big leagues in Ultimate Team has one or the other meta player. Here we now show you the footballers who will dominate FIFA 23 in the top European leagues.
FIFA 23 Meta Player Bundesliga
The Bundesliga has been the perfect place for young talents to take the next step for a number of years – for this reason Bundesliga fans can also regularly look forward to exciting meta players in Ultimate Team. We’re just assuming that Christoper Nkunku will still be playing for Leipzig in the coming – Season – thanks to his performances in 2021/22, he definitely deserves a big upgrade.
It’s similar with Florian Wirtz: The 18-year-old from Leverkusen has been convincing across the board for a few months and is already one of the best talents in FIFA. Since his boss transformation some time ago, Leon Goretzka has gotten better in all areas. There’s nothing legit in FIFA he can’t do – all his stats are over 80, a real beast.
FIFA 23 Meta Player Premier League
The Premier League is considered by many fans as the strongest soccer league in the world – and you can’t really disagree with that. The number of really strong meta players is almost too big to limit and actually everyone in the Weekend League has at least a few PL kickers in his starting eleven.
There are always rumors that Erling Haaland will move to the island. The most likely destination: Manchester City – his father already played there and the club has the necessary money. In FIFA 23 Haaland could get the next upgrade, maybe even a 90 rating. But especially FUT-beginners should also keep an eye on Trevoh Chalobah after he gets a lot of playing time in the – Season . The young defender’s stats will definitely shoot up in FIFA 23.
FIFA 23 Meta Player Series A
The FUT Heroes were one of the best additions in FIFA 22 – and Serie A in particular got two very strong cards. We strongly expect the Heroes to return in FIFA 23. Maybe we’ll even see some new faces? Well, Antonio Di Natale and Iván Córdoba each have really good stats and are perfect for the first months of a new FIFA. At some point, however, you should upgrade them to still keep up with the Weekend League elite….
FIFA 23 Meta Player LaLiga Santander
Currently LaLiga doesn’t offer so many possibilities, but that should change with the summer transfers. Kylian Mbappé, the golden boy, the FIFA cover star, the future best player in the world will most likely move to Real Madrid. Together with Vinicius Jr. – who should also get a hefty upgrade from EA Sports after this – Season – the Frenchman is one of the most dangerous forward duos in FIFA 23. Get ready for something, the two of them will play almost everyone.
