FIFA 22 is not the most popular FIFA of all time, so FIFA 23 needs some innovations. These are your suggestions.
FIFA 22 was recently heavily criticized by the biggest German FIFA streamer, Elias “EliasN97” Nerlich . And rightly so. EA needs to give some thought to FIFA 23, otherwise nobody will be playing FIFA soon. We asked you for suggestions and wishes for FIFA 23. These are your answers.
It’s still about half a year until FIFA 23 will be released. Some leaks have already been dropped, we have listed them for you in this hub article . Just recently, Tom Henderson revealed that FIFA 23 will have crossplay. This is at least a long-awaited feature. But what do you wish for? Let’s see!

Better gameplay for FIFA 23
By far the biggest wish. Fluid, fast gameplay, without momentum, without comical scenes. As was the case in FIFA 17, for example. At the beginning of each FIFA part, the gameplay is still good, but after the third patch at the latest, the game is almost unplayable. But as long as there are no new developers coming, I see black there.
FUT 23 without Kimpembe and Flashback Benzema
Presnel Kimpembe normal gold card is the absolute horror in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team. No attacker can get past this cupboard, no matter how good or how fast he is. The card must be bugged somehow because Kimpembe blocks every shot, wins every tackle and every header. And always in a very strange way. We don’t even want to know how many controllers have already broken. Flashback Benzema dominated, especially at the beginning of FIFA 22. Before the TOTYs came, the Frenchman was often number 1 in the Weekend League attack. Of course, it is clear that you cannot simply remove both players from FIFA. But the momentum of the players is already legendary.
Don’t always play against the same teams (PSG)
You know it… You start a – Season al or co-op game, the loading screen comes to an end and hey presto… you end up in the Parc de Princes and play against PSG. Yet again. As always. And it really sucks. But do you blame your opponents for playing with the best team in the game? EA could actually install a feature for FIFA 23 when searching for opponents in matchmaking that you cannot play against the same team twice in a row. Or is that asking too much?
All goal anthems and chants for FIFA 23
A great suggestion. It has to be said that this has improved significantly compared to FIFA 21. One reason for the lack of goal anthems is certainly expensive licenses. It’s not like EA makes billions from FIFA every year. However, fan chants should be added for every licensed club, absolutely.
No more Pay to Win in FIFA 23
phew Clear. It would be nice. But unfortunately that is absolutely not possible. Everyone would wish for it. And hopefully EA gets in trouble with Ultimate Team gambling rights too. But to be honest: EA makes billions of euros with FUT every year, so no company in the world would change this format as long as it is legally legal.
FIFA 23: Online Career Mode
For years we have been calling for an online career mode . This can easily be done in other EA games like Madden NFL 2022. But why can’t EA do that for FIFA? Madden continues to simulate after each week of play. Then in that game week you have to adjust things like training, trades, lineups, etc. That would be just as feasible for FIFA! But that would probably cost FUT revenue, and that’s why EA doesn’t bring an online career mode.
Coach and player career from youth on
That’s really very interesting. You start out as a youth player or coach, grow up with football and go through all youth stations. Perhaps this mode could also be made a little more critical and show the brutal business of football. The story could be similar to Alex Hunter’s, but start much earlier and last longer.
Play original trainers
Be sure to check out our video after this paragraph. Why does this not work? Why can’t I start a coaching career with a licensed coach like Jürgen Klopp? With Klopp you could go back to Borussia Dortmund or FSV Mainz 05, or choose completely different goals. But no, you always have to create your own trainer. boo
Play custom players on your own career team
In FIFA 22, own club was introduced as a new feature for the career mode. But the absurd part was that you could only use game-generated players. In your own club you also want to play your own players.
abolish momentum
There is momentum in FIFA without ifs and buts. This “feature” is there to artificially make the game more exciting and to give preference to inferior gamers so that they don’t lose interest in the game so quickly and stop. Momentum has been a tiresome topic for decades – and it definitely needs to be abolished!
Select referee jersey
Who does not know it? The referee often wears the same color as one of the two teams, especially in career mode. That always sucks. For years we have wished we could adjust the referee’s shirt before a game.
Play as referee
How cool would that be? Just referee a FIFA game as a referee . A referee career in FIFA 23 would be the absolute hit. Sure, you could theoretically do a lot of nonsense by giving every player a red card. But you could put in a rating system that would allow you to move up the leagues if you whistled well. An example: You start your career as a referee and you have to start in the 3rd division. With good performances you can eventually whistle the 2nd Bundesliga, the DFB Cup, the 1st Bundesliga and finally internationally. If you make the wrong decisions in difficult decisions or pointlessly hand out red cards, you will be relegated or your license will be revoked entirely.
better fans
Year after year: If the fans are faded in during a game, then 90% of the viewers behave and look the same . A lot of attention to detail is required, but an individual fan atmosphere would also give the gameplay a completely different feeling. You also rightly criticized the celebration after goals or a title win. There is still a lot of potential for improvement.
Those were the most important suggestions you made – and we are thrilled! Imagine if EA would pack all of that into FIFA 23. It would be the perfect game we all want. But what is it always called? FIFA is not a request concert.
FIFA 22 – FUTs
What could be cooler than just relaxed gaming and doing some sofa sports on the side? In FIFA 22, the player is on the move fast, but without getting sore muscles. With the Ultimate Team Event cards, the collecting instinct is now also satisfied. However, the FUT Heroes keep creeping into my mind, so here are the best Ultimate Team Event cards that are definitely worth adding to your collection.
Heroes cards selected by EA for top qualities
Admittedly, the FUT heroes will cost quite a bit of coin, but it turns out that EA has once again brought some top-class players into the game when it comes to selection. As a collector and hunter, it’s an added attraction for FIFA gamers to now include their own favorite heroes in the portfolio and benefit from their individual skills. Both in the game and in team building, the FUTs will revolutionize the game once again.
EA SPORTS FC: FIFA GAME SERIES TO BE CONTINUED UNDER NEW NAME
Of course, the soccer simulation game series will not be discontinued completely. After FIFA 23, EA will relaunch the game under the name EA Sports FC and market it independently. Old FIFA hares should now become quite an ear, after all, the EA Sports Football Club used to be a part of the actual game for years. A lot of playing was rewarded, points could be collected and items, boosts or balls for the individual game modes could be unlocked.
In this context, there could also be a complete revolution of the classic game. There is a heated discussion in the FIFA community about whether the game, which is expected to be released in the fall of 2023, will be free-to-play. This option is said to be on the table for the game makers from EA, because: It seems that EA earns most of its money with the purchases of FIFA Points in the game mode Ultimate Team and not with the sale of the game itself.
