Ones to Watch
Mbappe, Haaland, Süle, Schlotterbeck, Ginter and Co: Who gets an OTW in FIFA 23? We give predictions, tell you what a Ones to Watch player is and how the upgrades work.
OTW is the first major promo to kick off the new FIFA Ultimate Team – Season . Of course we’re already in the mood for FIFA 23 and can’t wait to start a new FUT year.
The OTWs in FIFA 22 with Ronaldo and Messi were filled like never before. We show you the biggest transfers from the football world and who can become a ones to watch player in FIFA 23 as a result.
What are Ones to Watch cards in FIFA Ultimate Team?
Ones to Watch cards are special cards for FIFA Ultimate Team. Because they are dynamic, they can always improve through upgrades over the course of the game. OTW versions celebrate players who made the summer transfer window.
How do the OTW upgrades work?
Ones to Watch upgrades are quickly explained: If a player receives an Inform card, the OVR of the OTW card increases to this strength. Also, when a player gets a Man of the Match card, the OTW version increases. In FIFA 22 there was the “Wins to Watch” for the first time. OTW players’ teams had to win 5 of their first 10 league games after the October 1st FIFA 22 release.
When will OTW Team 1 and Team 2 appear in FIFA 23?
The OTW Team 1 will appear in FIFA 23 at release. In FIFA 22, OTW Team 1 started on October 1st, Team 2 already appeared on October 8th.
OTW Predictions: Who Will Be OTW in FIFA 23?
EA decides who ultimately becomes the OTW Star. Not every summer transfer can end up in Ultimate Team, otherwise the FUT year will start with 500 special cards. And they shouldn’t be in the game until the beginning of November (little joke).
Let’s not beat around the bush any longer, here’s our prediction for OTW players in FIFA 23:
PLAYER TRANSFER
Kylian Mbappe Paris Saint Germain → Real Madrid
Erling Haaland Borussia Dortmund → Manchester City
Niklas Sule FC Bayern Munich → Borussia Dortmund
Matthias Ginter Borussia Monchengladbach → SC Freiburg
Nico Schlotterbeck SC Freiburg → Borussia Dortmund
Lorenzo Insigne Napoli → Toronto FC
Paul Pogba Manchester United → Paris Saint Germain
Franck Kessié AC Milan → FC Barcelona
Paulo Dybala Juventus → Inter Milan
Antonio Rudiger Chelsea FC → Real Madrid
Federico Chiesa Fiorentina → Juventus
Joaquín Correa Lazio Rome → Inter Milan
Christopher Nkunku RB Leipzig → Paris Saint Germain
Karim Adeyemi RB Salzburg → Borussia Dortmund
Confirmed transfers:
Niklas Süle (Dortmund), Nico Schlotterbeck (Dortmund) Matthias Ginter (SC Freiburg) and Lorenzo Insigne (Toronto) are already making safe changes. Chiesa and Correa have been with their “new” clubs for a long time, but the transfers will not be official until July.
We are excited to see if these players will get their OTW in the fall as well.
Rumors and speculation:
Last spring and summer there were rumors about CR7 and Messi – this year it’s the turn of the next generation. With Kylian Mbappé and Erling Haaland, two absolute meta strikers will change. While it is not entirely clear to the French superstar whether he will not extend his contract to PSG, Haaland’s farewell is a done deal.
The tug-of-war involving Paul Pogba, Paulo Dybala, Franck Kessie and Antonio Rüdiger will also be exciting. The superstars’ contracts are expiring and everyone is willing to look for a new club.
POTM high-flyer Nkunku will probably not stay in Leipzig. He played too blatantly this – Season and showed that every top club can be interested in him.
FIFA 23 OTW leaks
Unfortunately, there are still no leaks for the OTW Promo in FIFA 23. Of course, we will update the article as soon as the rumor mill seethes and one or the other hacker on the EA data
