The well-known FIFA leaker “FUTZone” announced on Tuesday that an icon card of Romário will appear in FIFA 23. The Brazilian was world champion and honored world footballer in 1994.

Romário was an agile striker who shot the ball with both feet. Now 56, he had his heyday between 1988 and 1995. He scored 98 goals for traditional Dutch club PSV Eindhoven, then 34 for FC Barcelona. Romário’s political career makes icon card questionable
Although leaker FUTZone describes the Brazilian as FIFA 23’s new icon, he unceremoniously adds insider information that could speak against Romário’s special card. This is because the former world-class soccer player is politically active as a senator of his home country and is also involved in this year’s elections, which will take place on October 2, 2022.

In fact, the Brazilian was already present in Ultimate Team as an icon card. However, he has not appeared after FUT 14.
