FIFA 22 What If: Probably no release, new event is coming

Well, it’s so quick and easy to fool yourself. We firmly assumed that after FUT Birthday the What If Promo would come in Ultimate Team. However, it seems that the event is not imminent.

In 21, EA Sports introduced the What If Event, last year the promotion went into the second round… and now? Well, if the current leaks are correct – and they always are in FIFA 22 – then at least with What If Promos not all good things come in threes. FUT Fantasy comes out of nowhere and simply replaces What If… but we’ll leave the tracker here anyway in case the promo was just pushed back…

Here we explain everything you need to know about the new promo, when it starts and how the upgrades work . Kick-off, kick-off, departure.

What are What If cards in FIFA 22?

If everything goes like FIFA 21 (which we assume will), What If players are boosted dynamic items that can receive an additional one-time +2 OVR upgrade if their team completes certain challenges based on real-world soccer criteria.

How do What If player upgrades work?

The What If Upgrades are awarded differently depending on the team. Players are divided into offensive and defensive players. The tasks look like this:

  • Forwards and midfielders will be upgraded if their respective club scores at least 6 goals in total in the next 5 domestic games.
  • Defenders and goalkeepers will be upgraded if their respective club keeps at least 1 clean sheet in the next 5 domestic league games.

Matches count from the moment the card was first released in FIFA Ultimate Team. If a team plays on the day of the item release, this game only counts if the kick-off is after the release time in the game (i.e. 7:00 p.m.). What If players only receive their upgrades based on the above criteria. No MOTM, POTM or TOTW card affects them.

As with the headliners , only league games count . So forget the Champions League, for example… just like EA. Is Road to the Finals still coming…?

When are What If cards coming in FIFA 22?

Of course, EA hasn’t given us an exact release date yet – and we now know why . It looks like we can’t count on the What If promo in FIFA 22 for the time being. Last year we went on 26.02. off, so it could have come a long time ago.

When do What If players get their upgrades?

Once a What If player has met their upgrade condition scenario, the corresponding player item will be updated no earlier than the following Wednesday.

What If Leaks – Which players get special cards?

So far it’s still quiet in the leak sky. Of course, we keep an eye on all relevant Reddit accounts and Twitter leakers and will update the article as soon as there are some leaks. This year it’s not a question of whether there will be leaks, just when .

FIFA 22 What If Tracker: How many goals do attackers and midfielders have?

So that you always know when an upgrade for the offensive players is coming, we will provide you with an overview here. So you can always see how many games have already been played and how many goals have been scored. Take Jadon Sancho as an example , who was a What If player last – Season . Unfortunately, his OTW in FIFA 22 really sucks…

FIFA 22 What If Tracker: How many times have defenders and goalkeepers kept a clean sheet?

So that you always know when an upgrade for the defensive players is coming, we will provide you with an overview here. So you can always see how many games have already been played and how often a goal has not been conceded. Take Pepe as an example , who was a What If player last – Season .

Which What If players are worthwhile?

Since these are individual player upgrades, but are awarded based on club performance, this is the main thing you should keep an eye on. A blatant player in a bad team brings nothing. After all, the team has to perform in order to achieve the goals. You always have to keep that in the back of your mind.

So rather get players who play in a club that’s going wild this – Season . Maybe these candidates will manage to get a special card in FIFA 22 at the What If Event…

FIFA 22 – FUTs

What could be cooler than just relaxed gaming and doing some sofa sports on the side? In FIFA 22, the player is on the move fast, but without getting sore muscles. With the Ultimate Team Event cards, the collecting instinct is now also satisfied. However, the FUT Heroes keep creeping into my mind, so here are the best Ultimate Team Event cards that are definitely worth adding to your collection.

Heroes cards selected by EA for top qualities

Admittedly, the FUT heroes will cost quite a bit of coin, but it turns out that EA has once again brought some top-class players into the game when it comes to selection. As a collector and hunter, it’s an added attraction for FIFA gamers to now include their own favorite heroes in the portfolio and benefit from their individual skills. Both in the game and in team building, the FUTs will revolutionize the game once again.

EA SPORTS FC: FIFA GAME SERIES TO BE CONTINUED UNDER NEW NAME

Of course, the soccer simulation game series will not be discontinued completely. After FIFA 23, EA will relaunch the game under the name EA Sports FC and market it independently. Old FIFA hares should now become quite an ear, after all, the EA Sports Football Club used to be a part of the actual game for years. A lot of playing was rewarded, points could be collected and items, boosts or balls for the individual game modes could be unlocked.

In this context, there could also be a complete revolution of the classic game. There is a heated discussion in the FIFA community about whether the game, which is expected to be released in the fall of 2023, will be free-to-play. This option is said to be on the table for the game makers from EA, because: It seems that EA earns most of its money with the purchases of FIFA Points in the game mode Ultimate Team and not with the sale of the game itself.
