Electronic Arts prepares the FIFA 22 TOTY 2021 ahead. As announced by the publisher, the nominated players for the team of the year will be announced starting today. Let’s start with the nominated strikers, followed on Saturday and Sunday by the lists of nominated midfielders, defenders and goalkeepers. A time has already been set: the kickers will be published at 5 p.m. on the respective days. All fans will then get the chance to choose their starting eleven for the FIFA 22 TOTY 2021 from all nominated players starting on January 10.
TOTY from 80 nominees
“EA Sports FIFA’s Team of the Year allows fans to support their favorites, cast their vote for their favorite players, and create the ultimate starting eleven from the 80 nominees who performed the strongest in the 2021 soccer world,” Electronic Arts wrote on the announcement. Last year, the publisher recorded ten million fan votes that ultimately decided the final eleven. The end of the voting period is set for January 18, 2022, 8:59 pm. After that, EA will evaluate the results. At what time the FIFA 22 TOTY will finally be announced remains to be seen.
Top players get value boost
Which players in the FIFA 22 TOTY It’s hard to say who will be in the starting eleven, because the starting eleven is in the hands of the fans – and they vote on it. So it’s hard to make solid predictions, like they are usual for the teams of the week, for the TOTY. However, players such as Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City), Mohamad Salah (Liverpool), Lionel Messi (PSG) and Robert Lewandowski (FC Bayern München) have a good chance of making the squad. Fan favorite Erling Haaland could also be in the starting eleven, provided EA includes him in the list of nominees.
