Besides Kylian Mbappe and a few exceptions, our prediction for TOTW 30 doesn’t look too rosy. We hope that at least our two 90+ strikers and with a bit of luck one or two other top stars will be there on Wednesday!

After already scoring five goals last week, Paris Saint-Germain added one more in their match against Clermont Foot this weekend. In the end, it was 6:1 from the Parisians’ point of view. The trio of strikers around Kylian Mbappe, Neymar and Lionel Messi single-handedly provided all the goals. Mbappe and Neymar each scored four goals, while Messi had three assists. Since Neymar already featured in TOTW 29 last week, we see Mbappe ahead. Nevertheless, the Argentine could also be a possibility.

In the duel between Europa League aspirants Lazio Roma and relegation candidates Genoa, the favorites around captain Ciro Immobile clearly prevail with 4:1. However, the Italian not only led his team as captain, but also made the difference on paper by scoring a hat trick in the end. That also catapulted him to the top of the Serie A scorers’ table with 24 goals now.

Two places further up the table, Juventus Torino continues to fight for a place in the Champions League. In any case, the team took another important step with a 2-1 away win against Cagliari. The goals for the old lady scored defender Matthijs de Ligt and offensive star Dušan Vlahović. With very few good defenders convincing this week, de Ligt’s goal makes him a possible candidate for the TOTW.

Finally, the English league is also represented. In the clash between the two German coaches Ralph Hasenhüttl and Thomas Tuchel there was a real shooting match with six goals. Unfortunately for the Southampton coach, however, they all went to Chelsea FC, who lost 6-0. In addition to the national players Timo Werner and Kai Havertz convinced especially Mason Mount across the board. Due to his three goal contributions he is our candidate for TOTW 30.
