- Raheem Sterling (Manchester City, England) – 90
- Alisson Becker (Liverpool FC, Brazil) – 90
- Marco Reus (Borussia Dortmund, Germany) – 87
- Nabil Fekir (Real Betis , France) – 86
Manchester City is playing one solid game after another and on Saturday they were again able to beat relegation candidates Norwich City in a commanding 4-0 victory. Deserved man of the match was Raheem Sterling. The left winger scored his first goal in the 31st minute and then added two more in the second half. The Englishman thus increased his goal tally this – Season to ten. After the strong performance, he definitely deserves an inform on Wednesday.
City’s main pursuers Liverpool FC benefited on Sunday in the away match against Burnley FC mainly from the support that keeper Alisson Becker offered. In total, the Brazilian national goalkeeper saved five shots on goal. In the end, Jürgen Klopp’s team narrowly won the match 0:1. On top of that, Becker was even voted man of the match. He could therefore make it into TOTW 22 on Wednesday.
After the defeat against Bayer Leverkusen, the Black and Yellows from Dortmund were able to celebrate another victory at the weekend. In the end, the score was 0:3 against Urs Fischer’s Union Berlin. Already after 25 minutes the Dortmunders could score in person of Marco Reus netted twice. In the second half, Raphaël Guerreiro put the lid on it with his goal. After his brace, the German international also has a say in Wednesday’s match.
Real Betis moved up to third place in the Spanish league on Sunday after a 2-4 win over LaLiga bottom side Levante. On the side of the Béticos scored Nabil Fekir, Edgar González and William Carvalho. The former scored twice from distance with his strong left foot. While the first goal was deflected, the second was scored very confidently from a free kick. After his strong performances in recent weeks, Fekir would also have deserved an assist on Wednesday.
