TOTS FIFA 22 Release Date – Start, duration and end of the team of the – Season .

The FIFA 22 TOTS event officially comes into play on Friday, April 29, 2022 at 19:00. Start of the voting period is officially on Sunday, April 17, 2022 for the Community Team, followed by the Premier League Team and Bundesliga Team. This fits perfectly with the start of – Season 6 in FIFA 22, which kicks off a day before (Thursday, April 28, 2022 at 9:00am) and will most likely also bring rewards around the Team of the – Season .

Usually the Team of the – Season event runs around 7 weeks and so it is again this time, so the end of the FIFA 22 TOTS falls on Friday, June 17, 2022.

FIFA 22 TOTS order and schedule – When will be which teams?

The Team of the – Season event starts classically with the Community Vote, followed by the vote for the Premier League Team and Bundesliga Team. Around a week and a half later, the Community Team is released along with the Eredivisie Team. After that, every few days there are one or two more teams put together by EA Sports. Fridays usually bring a team from the top 5 EU leagues, while the other days of the week are the turn of the smaller leagues and leagues from other parts of the world. How many players are in a Team of the – Season ?

Depending on how big a league is, either 11 or 15 players end up in the associated team in FIFA 22. The Premier League, LaLiga, Bundesliga, Serie A, Ligue 1 as well as the Community TOTS and the Ultimate TOTS (and sometimes the EFL) belong to the big leagues and always have 15 players in the team. On the other hand, the SPL, Süper Lig, Liga NOS, Eredivisie, CSL, MSL, Conmebol and the “rest of the world” team are among the small leagues that manage with 11 players. Apart from that for the bigger leagues often a few more players (usually 3 to 4) appear via SBC in FIFA 22.

How many strikers, midfielders, defenders and goalkeepers are included in a TOTS?

There is no hard and fast rule here. Typically, each large TOTS has a goalkeeper, 5 defenders, 5 midfielders, and 4 forwards. Smaller teams come accordingly with a few less players. But it does not have to be like that! If there are only two good defenders, but six outstanding strikers in a league, the team will appear in this composition.

How TOTS upgrades work and which players get a TOTS card

The central core of the TOTS event is, of course, the blue gold Team of the – Season cards, which are among the best in the game with their 90+ ratings – only Icons, TOTY, and perhaps isolated special cards from other events can achieve higher ratings.

Which players get a blue TOTS Inform card?

As in the previous year, the rulebook says that only players can get a TOTS card if they have shown a consistently high performance in the 2021/22 soccer – Season and have received a maximum of 1 special item (TOTW, MOTM, etc.) in FUT 22.

By the way, players can receive a TOTS card multiple times. For example, the Ultimate TOTS consists of the players of the other teams. But it can also happen that a player of the Community TOTS is selected by EA Sports once again for the team of the respective league. In this case, however, the cards have the same values one-to-one.

Which upgrades are available for FIFA 22 TOTS cards?

FIFA 22 TOTS players get a very strong upgrade of their overall ranking directly at the release of their team. How strong the upgrades are always depends on the performance of the respective player in the – Season . Usually the players with the lowest scores get the biggest upgrades, but in the end EA Sports decides how big an upgrade will be. Here it also plays a role if the player has already received an Inform special card in FIFA 22.

By the way, upgrades also boost individual stats to reflect a player’s performance. For example, a player who ran a lot may get a boost to his stamina or speed, and a player who shot a lot of passes may get a boost to his pass rating.

Can Team of the – Season cards continue to rise?

No! TOTS cards are not dynamic items and cannot receive any upgrades after their release. Doesn’t make much sense either, because they are already among the strongest cards in the game. And no, TOTS cards have no influence on upgrades for OTW cards, Headliners, RTTF cards or FUT Fantasy cards.

How to get TOTS cards in FIFA 22

TOTS players are included in all card packs that can have player cards in them for either 5 or 7 days from the time of their respective team release. This includes free packs as well as packs you buy with FIFA 22 FUT Coins or FIFA Points in the store. For the release period the TOTS cards replaced the regular cards of the players in the packs, so you don’t have to worry about drawing a worse version.

You can also buy and sell TOTS cards on the transfer market, but SBC rewards are excluded from this. Also, expect very high prices. Finally, there will be some TOTS SBCs again, where you can earn one or the other player and also in the store a few offers should appear.

Tip: You can save up card packs and then open them during the release week to get TOTS cards. There are a few exceptions like the FUT Champions player picks, but the majority work.

The FIFA 22 TOTS (Team of the – Season ) is, next to the Team of the Year, the most important event of the – Season and also the biggest event in the whole game. The reason? What to expect from the Team of the – Season event

The highlight of the Team of the – Season event is, of course, the 15 different teams with their respective TOTY players that will be released in packs in the coming weeks (see TOTS release and order). In addition, there are daily promo packs as well as the lightning rounds with the most popular packs (25k, 45k, 50k, 100k and 125k), which will enter the store at selected times for a few hours only and in limited quantities.

You can also solve lots of themed SBCs that come with up to 50k packs, TOTS items, TOTS Moments, and other rewards. Also expect the popular upgrade SBCs, Regular and Premium League upgrade SBCs, weekly objectives with non-tradable TOTS items and TOTS Moments items as rewards and more.

What are Team of the – Season cards and why are they special?

The TOTS cards are special in several ways: firstly, with the Community TOTS, there is once again a team that is not chosen by EA Sports, but by the community of players. Secondly, as expected, there are a lot of cards from the best soccer players in the world, who already have high ratings and get a strong upgrade on top of that at the event, the overall rating likes to be between 93 and 99. In addition, most TOTS cards can be traded on the transfer market, promising high profits.

The difference between TOTS and TOTY

The Team of the – Season and the Team of the Year are superficially quite similar – the maps are among the strongest in the game, almost identical design and players, etc. – but in detail there are very strong differences. This can be seen most clearly in the scope of the promos: While in TOTY there is “only” one team with the eleven best players in the world, plus a twelfth player and a few honorable mentions, in TOTS there are a whole 15 teams, always composed of the 11 to 15 best players from each of the top soccer leagues in the world in the current – Season . So there are considerably more FIFA 22 cards in play at TOTS, which is why it’s also considered the biggest event.

There are other differences, such as the period from which the players are chosen. For the Team of the Year, it’s the performance of the players in a calendar year that counts, while for the Teams of the – Season , it’s the performance of the players in the first and second rounds in the respective league that counts (the period between August/September and May). And in case you’re wondering which cards are better: In direct comparison, TOTY cards are minimally better than TOTS cards, but they are also considerably more expensive.

Is there a TOTS market crash?

Yes! The first signs of a TOTS market crash can already be seen. Actually, player prices in the transfer market will only drop at the start of the TOTS vote or when EA officially announces the event (panic sales), but the first players already seem to start selling off their rare gold players (while they are still worth something) to earn coins for the TOTS packs.

Surprisingly, this is not. Rather, it’s a process that can be seen over and over again every year and with the Team of the Year. The reasons for this are the same as for the TOTY: The TOTS is one of EA’s most profitable promos, with countless players spending vast sums on packs of very strong cards. In order to raise the necessary coins, players flood the market with a lot of high-value cards, which quickly leads to the players losing money. Usually, shortly before or with the release of the promo, a record low is reached before the prices recover again.
