FIFA 22: Top players you (maybe) missed out on – eSportsNews eSports FIFA

22: Almost every day there are new players in Squad Building Challenges. Among them there are also top players for which there is only a short time window. Missing this window can be annoying.

In Ultimate Team at FIFA 22 there is daily new fodder for the so called Squad Building Challenges (SBC), where certain teams can be traded for players or packs of new cards. It’s simply not feasible, especially for the average FIFA player, to take every one of these challenges. But there are some that are especially painful to miss. We have collected a few for you.

Nabil Fekir

At the beginning of the group stage of the Europa League the Frenchman could be traded in for less than 100,000 coins (Playstation prices). Since it is a Road-to-the-Knockouts card he’s actually added two strength points since then. Fekir actually has it all: a strong physique, strong dribbling, good passing and a fantastic finish. The speed is also already good at 86 (after the update), excellent with the right chemistry style. He might be one of the most complete attacking midfielders in FIFA 22 and is also great to play up front. If you didn’t make him, you missed out on an outstanding player at a low price.

Karim Benzema

Costing a little under 200,000 coins, Karim Benzema’s Flashback SBC on Playstation was worth every penny. While Benzema’s normal cards do have an outstanding finish, the Flashback card also has 89 speed and 90 agility, for example, making the attacker “playable,” as they say. Although the overall score is only 86, this is clearly Benzema’s best card. The way the Frenchman can maneuver his way through opposing defenses with the ball at his feet and then reliably slot the ball in, it makes him one of the best center forwards around.

Marco Verratti

Already the normal card of Verratti has a big problem: speed. This has been improved a little bit with the Rulebreaker version, so that the Italian can now be used wonderfully in defensive midfield. In addition to the speed, the physique, but also all other values have been improved. This Verratti card is like a Ngolo Kanté with a good passing game. Only on long stretches does the still moderate speed become noticeable, and Verratti is also poor at finishing. As a six, however, he excels. He would have cost just under 120,000 coins.

Djibril Sow

The Frankfurt native got a card in the current winter wildcards that is simply fantastic – especially in terms of value for money: 84 pace, 88 passing, 85 dribbling, 84 defensive and 90 physicality, and all for just under 80,000 coins. Sow is great in central midfield, both defensively with his physicality and offensively with his passing. Only his finishing isn’t quite as good, plus he’s naturally hard to link up with other players outside of a Bundesliga team. But especially for this price an outstanding card.

Seko Fofana

Seko Fofana in FIFA 22.

The player of the month card from Seko Fofana is another one for central midfield that simply makes the team better. In fact, almost every team. E-sportsman Jannis Pütz, who plays for the SC Paderborn 07 plays and gives us every now and then, raved two months ago about Fofana’s strong passing game, which was better than Ngolo Kanté’s, and also his size and physique, which make him an outstanding six-man. “I don’t think Fofana is much worse,” Pütz said in comparison to the iconic player Patrick Vieira – and the cheapest version still costs over 1 million coins. Fofana cost about 280,000. He would definitely have been worthwhile, by the way, Pütz still plays him today.

Niklas Süle

For about 155,000 coins Niklas Süle could be bought in the run-up to the match of the FC Bayern against the FC Barcelona be made. It was a showdown card, besides Süle there were also Gerard Piqué, both with a strength of 88. Because Bayern won, Süle went up to 90. So now he has speed of 85, defense of 89, and physicality of 88, all of which makes him a mobile closet in central defense who can defend away any striker with his speed and strength.
