FIFA 22: Road to the Finals Mini Release 2

The Road to the Finals gets belatedly once again reinforcement from a RTTF Mini Release 2, which adds five more players from the UEFA Champions , UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League knockout stages still in progress to the selection. In the companion to three major European soccer competitions, EA Sports is giving selected players special RTTF cards in 22 that can further improve as teams advance. Below we show you which RTTF players have been selected and explain how the event works.

All cards of RTTF Team 1, Mini-Release 2 & 1 and SBCs in FIFA 22

Since EA Sports is quite late in this year’s Road to the Finals event, there are significantly fewer players this time around. Specifically, there is only one big team with 18 players instead of the usual 14. In addition, there are four players from Mini Release 1, five players from Mini Release 2 and one SBC player. So the bottom line is that there are only 28 RTTF players in FIFA 22 (last year there were about four dozen players).

Below you can find all players of the respective releases. If you want to know the current values of the players and who has got an improvement, you can find all information at our FIFA 22 RTTF Tracker.

Road to the Finals Explanation – How the “Road to the Finals” event works in FIFA 22.

The three most important European soccer competitions (UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League) are entering the knockout phase and with that the annual “Road to the Finals” event (RTTF for short) starts again in FIFA 22. The event has been around since FIFA 19 and puts selected players of the three competitions in the spotlight, who get improved special cards and have the chance to get further upgrades. By the way, in German the promo is called “Weg zum Finale”, but this term has not caught on among players. Find out what the event is about and how it works below:

When will RTTF be available in FIFA 22?

The FIFA 22 Road to the Finals event starts on Friday, February 18, 2022 at 19:00 and ends two weeks later on Friday, March 4, 2022 at 19:00. Since the event is much shorter this year, there is only one major team, one mini-release, and one to three SBC players. Unexpectedly, a second mini-release was subsequently added.

  • FIFA 22 RTTF Team 1 will be released on Friday, February 18, 2022 at 19:00 hrs.
  • FIFA 22 RTTF Mini Release 1 will be released on Sunday, 20 February 2022 at 19:00
  • FIFA 22 RTTF Mini Release 2 will be released on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 19:00

After the two-week introduction phase of the RTTF cards, the scoring phase for upgrades continues, namely until the winners in the Champions League, Europa League and Conference League are determined. The Champions League final will take place on May 28, 2022, and has now been moved to the “Stade de France” in the French city of Saint-Denis. The Europa League final will be held at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán Stadium in the southern Spanish city of Seville on May 18, 2022, and the Conference League final will be held at the Air Albania Stadium in the Albanian city of Tirana on May 25, 2022.

How to get RTTF players in FIFA 22

As usual in FIFA 22 you can find RTTF cards in all packs which can be bought for FIFA 22 FUT Coins and FIFA Points. Of course there is always only a small chance that one of the event players is in a pack, so you need some luck. Besides the packs, you can also earn Road to the Finals players by solving special RTTF SBCs and objectives that EA Sports will bring into the game during the event. Furthermore, the cards could also be traded on the transfer market, but here it can quickly become quite expensive.

What are RTTF cards and why are they special?

RTTF cards are “dynamic items” that can improve their stats as they progress through the knockout stages of the three major European soccer competitions (UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League and UEFA Europa Conference League). As a rule, many high-profile players are selected in the promo, which also have a promising chance in the competition. Accordingly, RTTF cards in FIFA 22 have good values and can still improve a lot. If you are lucky or invest properly, you can earn a lot of coins here or get strong players.

Road to the Finals cards are selected by EA Sports from all three competitions and can be sold and bought on the transfer market, but only if they come from packs and were not earned at SBCs. You can have multiple RTTF cards of the same player in your club, but you can only use one at a time in a match.
