FIFA 22 on EA Play Launch Early Access

The new – Season is already running, but we have to wait until October 1st for 22. With EA Play you can play FIFA 22 already before the release – starting on September 22nd! We show you how EA Play works and what you have to consider.

There are still some weeks to go until the release of FIFA 22, the leaks from the beta phase have already made us want to play the game again. We can’t wait to get screwed over in the Weekend and destroy (un)guilty controllers on the wall. If the wait is too long for you, you can play FIFA 22 a few days earlier with the Ulitmate Edition.

But the extra charge is quite high. Another solution seems to be much cheaper. With the video game service EA Play you can access FIFA 22 before the release and get a little advantage in Ultimate Team. The score will be taken over after the release of the game. And the best thing about it: With EA Play you can play even earlier than with the Ultimate Edition! Without any rip-off… We show you how.

FIFA 22 on EA Play: How to play already from 22nd of September
Yes, you read correctly. With EA Play you can play FIFA 22 already from September 22nd. But there is a little catch: Your playing time is limited to ten hours until the release of the game. After the deadline you have to wait until September 27th (Ultimate Edition) or October 1st (Standard Edition). Still, this is a pretty nice deal that might be interesting especially for still undecided gamers. We explain you how EA Play works and what this means for FIFA 22!

What is EA Play?

EA Play is the in-house video game service of Electronic Arts. You can access and play a selected list of EA titles for a monthly subscription. This includes classics like Dragon Age, as well as big titles like Star Wars: Squadrons or Battlefield V and the games from EA Sports. And what does EA Play cost? You have to pay €3.99 per month for the subscription.

But this doesn’t mean that you can get the full version of FIFA 22 for a ridiculous price. EA Play only grants you an Early Access to FIFA 22! When you have used up your ten hours of trial time and the game is released, you have to buy the title at full price to continue playing. By the way, Electronic Arts does the same with its other sports games like Madden, NHL or UFC. The titles will only be fully activated for the subscription service at a later date. FIFA 21, for example, has been available via EA Play since May 6.

Nevertheless, the variant with EA Play could be worthwhile for one or the other gamer. The price of the Ultimate Edition is just plain cheeky. By the way, we have an insider tip for the smart spenders among you. This way you can get FIFA even cheaper – for half the price!

FIFA 22 test version doesn’t work anymore? This is the reason
Of course, many people didn’t miss this chance and signed up for an EA Play subscription. After all, you can achieve a lot in 10 hours, especially in Ultimate Team. But as the latest reactions on Twitter show us, the community has big problems with FIFA Early Access. Since Sunday evening the FIFA 22 test version doesn’t work anymore:

But what is behind it? Once it is because of the unclear communication of EA. The statement “until release” can mean everything with FIFA 22. Actually, we assumed that you can split your 10 hours until October 1st, that is until the release of the standard version. But maybe the trial only went until September 27, that is until the Ultimate Edition.

A common problem, however, is the unintentional use up of the 10 hours. Large parts of the community have called for finishing the game completely before turning off the console. Otherwise, the timer would just keep running. That would be just plain cheeky!

In the end, though, the problems could just be EA’s fault. Some players reported on Twitter and Reddit that they had trouble switching to the Ultimate Edition. Whether the problems are really connected remains to be seen. Since some players are still able to access their trial version, we assume that the problem is only temporary.

RELEASE – WHAT IS KNOWN SO FAR

FIFA 22 is still in full operation, but in the background the game makers of EA Sports are already working on the next part – FIFA 23 will be released in autumn 2022.
But under which name will the classic game be continued in autumn 2022? As things stand, it is not at all certain that the game will continue to bear the name of the world association FIFA. We have the most important information about FIFA 23 for you, why the game series will get a new name and on which consoles the next part of the soccer simulation will be available.

WHEN WILL FIFA 23 BE RELEASED?

We can’t give you an official launch date for the next part of the FIFA game series yet. EA hasn’t communicated much in this regard yet, so so far we can only assume that FIFA 23 will be released in the period between mid-September and early October 2022, just like its predecessors. In the past years, the latest launch date of a FIFA game was October 06.
