Although the FUT Showdown event in FIFA 22 is already over for a long time, we got once again a new SBC. This time Gabriel Paulista (Valencia CF) and Sergio Canales (Real Betis) are facing each other in the Challenge.

In this article we’ll show you which of the two players is worth playing or if you should rather go for special cards from other FUT events. Furthermore we will explain you how you can buy both SBCs very cheap…

FIFA 22 Showdown SBC Overview

You can get both players until April 23, 2022 by completing the SBC for your team. Both challenges have about the same requirements and therefore cost similar. Nevertheless one of the two players is much more interesting, which should be illustrated by the following table.

We’re talking about Sergio Canales, of course. For a central midfielder, he has above-average speed (90 pace) and can set up his teammates with dangerous passes (91) time and again. The upgrade of Gabriel Paulista is not bad by any means, but more than half a year after FIFA release it is clearly too weak to belong to the meta cards. If you have coins for only one of either player, you should rather go for Canales…. even without victory upgrade he is the better choice.

Is the FUT Showdown SBC in FIFA 22 worth it?

Yes and no. In the best case, Canales’ already more than solid card gets a +2 upgrade and looks really tasty. Then the challenge is definitely worth it. But we wouldn’t go for Gabriel Paulista, you’ll find dozens of stronger alternatives on the transfer market…
