FIFA 22: Finally FUT Champions Upgrade as SBCs!

Once qualified for the Weekend in 22, it’s easier than ever to get good rewards. But since you still only ever pull garbage, you can now recycle it for better picks. The FUT Champions Upgrades are here!

We all know the Struggle: a large part of the weekend is sweated out in the Weekend League in order to claw rewards as nice as possible. But the rewards are usually not nice. Packluck is rare and three bench warmers from the current TOTW regularly greet us when it comes to player picks . That’s fun. And now?

So far, the nice-looking but sometimes completely useless red cards have been simmering in the last corners of our clubs. Publisher EA has finally brought back the FUT Champion Upgrade SBCs for FIFA 22 . Let’s take a closer look.

FUT Champion Upgrade SBC Overview

If you’ve read carefully, you already know that there will be multiple SBCs. More precisely two. EA grants both a FUT Champions Upgrade and a FUT Champions Premium Upgrade . The requirements of the two challenges differ in that you have to trade in more and fewer players. Your reward is based on that. Here’s a brief summary of it:

SBCsprice LoLRewards
FUT Champions UpgradeFUT Champions Player (83-86 OVR)
FUT Champions Premium UpgradeFUT Champions Player (1 of 3 86+ OVR)

As you can see, there are two big fat zeros in the price column. Unlike SBCs on other special cards , this challenge doesn’t cost you a penny. Just trade in some useless players and you’re good to go. Depending on how many of these you have lying around in your club, you can grab an 83-86 OVR or an 86+ OVR.

Are the FUT Champions upgrades in Fifa 22 worth it?

In our opinion, definitely ! At least if you’ve been playing Weekend League diligently over the past few months. Then there are definitely a few red player picks lying around in your club that have no added value anyway. So why not trade it in and hope for a little more packing luck on the second try?

  • Two SBCs with different requirements
  • “free”, only player picks needed
  • repeatable
  • Packluck not guaranteed even on the second attempt

FUT Champions Upgrade SBCs Cheapest Solution & Rewards

What is the cheapest way to complete the FUT Champions Upgrade SBCs? Normally we would show you the cheapest solution here, but… every solution is the cheapest! It doesn’t cost anything. The only difference between FUT Champions Upgrade and FUT Champions Premium Upgrade is the requirement. So let’s have a look at what you need to exchange for both upgrades:

FUT Champions Upgrade SBC Conditions [83-86 OVR]

  • FUT Champ Player: Min. 5

FUT Champions Premium Upgrade SBC Conditions [1 of 3 86+ OVR]

  • FUT Champ Player: Exactly 11
  • Overall team rating: Min. 81
  • Team chemistry: Min. 20

To summarize briefly again: You don’t really care about team chemistry . Simply exchange a few red player picks and pay attention to the overall rating with the Champions Premium Upgrade SBC. That’s why there are no pictures of the teams today. Sorry not sorry.

FIFA 22 – FUTs

What could be cooler than just relaxed gaming and doing some sofa sports on the side? In FIFA 22, the player is on the move fast, but without getting sore muscles. With the Ultimate Team Event cards, the collecting instinct is now also satisfied. However, the FUT Heroes keep creeping into my mind, so here are the best Ultimate Team Event cards that are definitely worth adding to your collection.

Heroes cards selected by EA for top qualities

Admittedly, the FUT heroes will cost quite a bit of coin, but it turns out that EA has once again brought some top-class players into the game when it comes to selection. As a collector and hunter, it’s an added attraction for FIFA gamers to now include their own favorite heroes in the portfolio and benefit from their individual skills. Both in the game and in team building, the FUTs will revolutionize the game once again.

EA SPORTS FC: FIFA GAME SERIES TO BE CONTINUED UNDER NEW NAME

Of course, the soccer simulation game series will not be discontinued completely. After FIFA 23, EA will relaunch the game under the name EA Sports FC and market it independently. Old FIFA hares should now become quite an ear, after all, the EA Sports Football Club used to be a part of the actual game for years. A lot of playing was rewarded, points could be collected and items, boosts or balls for the individual game modes could be unlocked.

In this context, there could also be a complete revolution of the classic game. There is a heated discussion in the FIFA community about whether the game, which is expected to be released in the fall of 2023, will be free-to-play. This option is said to be on the table for the game makers from EA, because: It seems that EA earns most of its money with the purchases of FIFA Points in the game mode Ultimate Team and not with the sale of the game itself.
