FIFA 22 eChampions League Procedure
After the qualifying round the regions “West, Iberia & Benelux, Germany & Austria, Nordics & East” start into the eCL Online Qualifiers, which will be played on December 4th and 5th. This will leave 64 players who will “hibernate” in the competition and form the group stage in February.
This will be played in full on February 19 and 20. There will be 32 teams in each group, again depending on the region. Only the top 16 will advance to the knockout phase, which will be held in April, with further eliminations on the 23rd and 24th. Only the best 8 of the 256 participants will reach the Grand Final.
FIFA 22 eCL Final in May – with 280.000 Dollar prize pool
The Grand Final of the eCL will take place on May 27, 2022, as usual one day before the final of the Champions League. The winner will receive 75,000 US dollars, but the losing finalist will also receive 50,000 US dollars from a total prize pool of 280,000 US dollars. Much more than in the Virtual Bundesliga.
