No licenses: In which league will Atalanta Bergamo and Lazio Roma play in FIFA 22?

Of course, both clubs will still play in the Serie A. has the rights to the league, but since the clubs have exclusive deals with Konami, they will only appear with generic crests and kits.

In fact, there are already first hints about the names of the clubs. Atalanta becomes Bergamo Calcio because of its hometown, while Lazio Roma gets the name of its region – Lazio – just like Juve. So the Rome derby is back on level terms now that both clubs have become fake clubs.

Where is Atalanta Bergamo in FIFA 22?

The surprise club of the past years can be found in FIFA 22 under the name Bergamo Calcio. Just like back then with Juventus Torino and Piemonte Calcio, the alternatives created by EA caused some laughs. We were even able to take a look at the crests. Atalanta is not recognizable at all. The black is still there, but that’s all. The publisher didn’t put much effort into the Bergamasque crest. But see for yourself!

Where is Lazio Roma in FIFA 22?

So, we’ll also have to do without the history-making club from the capital in the upcoming FIFA. As with Atalanta, we’re desperately hoping for something stylish from Lazio. At least EA was able to find the right colors in its paintbox, but the design is debatable. In contrast to Atalanta, pictures of the jerseys of the capital club could already be found. However, they look more like Juventus commemorative shirts than a Lazio Rome jersey… Make your own judgement!

Bergamo Calcio and Lazio: can you still play with Duvan Zapata and co?

Of course, you can still start the match with the right players. Although EA does not own the club and stadium rights, the player licenses are not affected by the licensing dispute. However, the 3D scan will already be omitted, as it was with Juventus and Roma back then. So please don’t expect any graphical masterpieces!

Next shock FIFA 23 without Napoli?

But for EA it comes even thicker: As Konami already announced, the game manufacturer already holds the next trump cards from the 2022/23 – Season . Napoli will be the fifth Italian club to be played exclusively in eFootball… Will FIFA be able to make up for such losses? There are also already speculations about two possible names for Luciano Spalletti’s club: Campania Calcio and Napoli FC. Don’t necessarily have to have either now..
