EA ends the long wait for Crossplay for FIFA and brings Crossplay tests for FIFA 22. Ok… FINALLY you almost want to shout. Actually FIFA 22 could have had crossplay already at release. There are still many questions: Can you play between PS4 and PS5? Does crossplay include the PC? Is it even coming to the “old consoles?” And can I play FUT with buddies on other consoles? Does FIFA 22 have crossplay?

Yes, FIFA 22 has crossplay. After there was no possibility to play between consoles at release, it is possible now.

When will crossplay be available for FIFA?

Since May 4th it is possible to play crossplay in FIFA 22.

How do I activate Crossplay in FIFA?

You can turn crossplay on and off in the main menu of FIFA 22. Press R2 or RT to open the mini menu. Here you can enable crossplay and search for friends who play on other consoles than you.

No, FIFA Ultimate Team will probably only get the crossplay feature in FIFA 23.

For which consoles will Crossplay be available in FIFA 22? Who can play together?
Crossplay is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Stadia. So it is only available for next-gen owners. A bit of a shame, we would have liked EA to test the feature on a larger scale and allow us to play between “old” and “new” consoles as well.

Does FIFA 22 have crossplay between PlayStation 4 and 5?
No, unfortunately FIFA 22 is not crossplay capable within the Sony consoles.

Does FIFA 22 have crossplay between Xbox One and the Series X or S?
No, we have to disappoint you here as well. You can only play between PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

FIFA 22 on Playstation 5

Of course FIFA 22 is available on Playstation 5 and even if it is still difficult and expensive to get hold of the console, those of you who are lucky enough to get it will be able to collect quite some gaming hours with FIFA. So you can play FIFA 22 on the new Sony console without any worries. Unless you play Weekend League, in which case it’s not relaxed on any console.

FIFA 22 on Playstation 4
Even your PS4 is still enough to enjoy FIFA 22 to the fullest. Whereas that’s not so true, because EA has cancelled the free next-gen upgrade.

Furthermore, Hypermotion will only be available on next-gen. Gameplay differences are clear and not only the menu is just hell on PS4.

FIFA 22 on Xbox Series X/S
FIFA 22 is of course also available on the Microsoft console. Here, too, you can enjoy all the advantages of the next-gen version.

FIFA 22 on Xbox One
On the “old” Xbox you have the same problem as on PS4. Of course, FIFA 22 is available for your console, but without Hypermotion – and without crossplay.

Google’s cloud gaming service lets you play on your PC, laptops or even smartphones. Here you have crossplay.

FIFA 22 on PC & Mac
Of course, FIFA 22 is also available on PC. We have listed the minimum requirements for PC here. So you are perfectly prepared for what your PC should be able to do.

Can FIFA 22 be played with mouse and keyboard?

That is also possible. We wouldn’t be so keen on it, but maybe there are some of you who enjoy FIFA with mouse and keyboard. It’s not without reason that most PC gamers still play with a controller connected. By the way, that’s also our recommendation if it should be the PC.

The game only costs 39.99 for the Switch. For obvious reasons. For the third time, FIFA is now available for the Switch. But beware: gameplay innovations do not come to the Switch. Of course, there are the new stadiums, kits and ratings, but the gameplay is still lousy.

FIFA 22 is still in full operation, but in the background the game makers of EA Sports are already working on the next part – FIFA 23 will be released in autumn 2022.
But under which name will the classic game be continued in autumn 2022? As things stand, it is not at all certain that the game will continue to bear the name of the world association FIFA. WHEN WILL FIFA 23 BE RELEASED?

We can’t give you an official launch date for the next part of the FIFA game series yet. EA hasn’t communicated much in this regard yet, so so far we can only assume that FIFA 23 will be released in the period between mid-September and early October 2022, just like its predecessors. In the past years, the latest launch date of a FIFA game was October 06.
