The Team of the Year brought you some outstanding special cards with a little delay. But while the event is slowly coming to an end, the next promo is already around the corner. In the middle of February it’s time for the FIFA 21 Winter Refresh. Release date, news, predictions and more details about the FUT Winter Upgrades can be found here.
Again no Winter Refresh at the weekend. The start of the FUT event has been postponed once again. Instead, we can expect a brand new promo, which goes by the name “What If”. What you can expect:
The Winter upgrades were surprisingly unavailable this past weekend. Only the Icon Swaps 2 have launched. So it can be assumed that the FIFA 21 Winter Refresh will start this Friday, February 26.
Until then you can get the dressed up icon card of Toni Kroos.
Will the Winter Refresh start on February 19? In the meantime, leaks and predictions about the Winter Upgrade event, which will start as early as this weekend, are piling up. In addition to Icon Moments, players will also launch Icon Swaps 2.
What is the FUT 21 Winter Refresh?
In the Winter Refresh, you can expect a lot of new content. For example, the winter upgrades for players who have played particularly well in the first half of the – Season . Here the values, compared to the last years, increase by 1-3 points.
Theo Hernandez (AC Milan) or Erling Haaland (Borussia Dortmund) are hot candidates for an upgrade this year, but the values of at least 50 other players should also increase. However, there are also departures for players who could not convince.
Sami Khedira now plays for Hertha BSC Berlin, Martin Ødegaard for Arsenal London. Also, the Winter Refresh usually brings Icon Moments cards to FIFA 21 Ultimate Team – which is the most powerful version of FUT Icons.
Icon Moments
The first 34 Icon Moments cards were released on February 19. More cards will follow in the coming weeks until all 100 FUT 21 Icons have received their highest variant.
The crowning glory of the winter upgrades are usually the Icon Moments cards for FIFA 21. This variant of the legends is several points higher than the Prime Icons, which are currently the most powerful icons in the game.
New players
Players not yet listed in the FUT database could finally make their way into the game and be honored with a special card available for a limited time. Edinson Cavani (Manchester United), for example, is a hot candidate.
