The FIFA 21 release is approaching with big steps. Of course, the FUT mode will also have the highest priority in the sports game from EA Sports this year. We still have a few wishes for FIFA 21 Ultimate Team that make the game better.
On October 9th, the FIFA series will enter the next round with the FIFA 21 release . We’ve already noticed that the sports game looks great and summarized all the news so far .
We have already told you our wishes for FIFA 21 . Here are 7 Ultimate Team mode wishes we want to see (again) this year.
1. Own logos and jerseys
What is FIFA Ultimate Team mode about? You create your own club, your own team with the players you want to see on the pitch. So why are we still not allowed to create our own logos and jerseys ?
Honestly, EA: Even the in-house NHL series has been able to do this for a long time. It’s about time we got to be designers in FUT 21!
2. Give us the hall mode
It’s perhaps THE feature that FIFA fans miss the most. The indoor mode from FIFA 98 is legendary, but we were denied a comeback after the World Cup offshoot. VOLTA doesn’t count! So why not combine the fans’ biggest wish with the most popular mode and finally bring indoor soccer back to us in FUT 21. Please, thank you.
3. We want to play tournaments again
Offline and online tournaments were a popular feature in FUT mode for a long time , until EA Sports eliminated them altogether. Why? The people in charge probably don’t even know that. After all, the tournaments brought variety into the game simply because of their requirements.
Who will take victory with a silver team ? Which Bundesliga FUT team will snatch the trophy? Now there isn’t a single incentive not to play with the strongest team you can afford. The return of tournaments would bring a breath of fresh air here.
4. Fewer promos
Summer OTW, Icon Swaps, Ultimate Scream, Road to the Final, FUTmas, TOTY, Headliners and most recently Summer Heat . FUT 20 brought us more promotional events than any FIFA before.
It’s July now and the overview has gone completely haywire. Players like Kylian Mbappé sometimes come up with 10 special cards . This promo chaos has to stop, even – Season ed professionals are starting to lose sight of it.
5. Wager Matches
FIFA fans have been demanding wager matches for FUT mode for a number of years. That would be a pretty cool idea that we’d love to see in FIFA 21. These betting games are extremely popular in the FUT community, but they are against the Official EA Sports Rules and can result in a ban.
The idea behind it: Two FUT players agree in advance on a fixed stake, which is credited to the winner. 1,000 or 10,000 coins for a win is a very nice incentive. And that would suit the whole character of the FIFA Ultimate Team mode with microtransactions and packs anyway.
6. FUT Champions Rework
Ever since EA Sports introduced FUT Champions ( aka Weekend League ) as a competitive game mode with FIFA 17, the mode has enjoyed tremendous popularity. The recent reduction in games from 40 to 30 games per weekend also makes FUT Champions more attractive to casual players.
But 30 games of almost 15 minutes each fill the entire weekend with FIFA, so even in its current form, FUT Champions is not the ideal solution . How about a different system to get the coveted red special cards? A league format or a weekly tournament based on ranks would be an easy solution.
7. Improve the servers!
It cannot be repeated often enough. The FIFA 20 servers are a disaster and have been since the release of the game. The last server update didn’t change that either. Online matches in FUT 20 are completely unplayable, at least during the day. Most pros or streamers complete their games before 6am or after 11pm. It’s great, isn’t it?
Functioning, lag-free and high-quality online servers, that would be something for FIFA 21.
FIFA 22 – FUTs
What could be cooler than just relaxed gaming and doing some sofa sports on the side? In FIFA 22, the player is on the move fast, but without getting sore muscles. With the Ultimate Team Event cards, the collecting instinct is now also satisfied. However, the FUT Heroes keep creeping into my mind, so here are the best Ultimate Team Event cards that are definitely worth adding to your collection.
Heroes cards selected by EA for top qualities
Admittedly, the FUT heroes will cost quite a bit of coin, but it turns out that EA has once again brought some top-class players into the game when it comes to selection. As a collector and hunter, it’s an added attraction for FIFA gamers to now include their own favorite heroes in the portfolio and benefit from their individual skills. Both in the game and in team building, the FUTs will revolutionize the game once again.
EA SPORTS FC: FIFA GAME SERIES TO BE CONTINUED UNDER NEW NAME
Of course, the soccer simulation game series will not be discontinued completely. After FIFA 23, EA will relaunch the game under the name EA Sports FC and market it independently. Old FIFA hares should now become quite an ear, after all, the EA Sports Football Club used to be a part of the actual game for years. A lot of playing was rewarded, points could be collected and items, boosts or balls for the individual game modes could be unlocked.
In this context, there could also be a complete revolution of the classic game. There is a heated discussion in the FIFA community about whether the game, which is expected to be released in the fall of 2023, will be free-to-play. This option is said to be on the table for the game makers from EA, because: It seems that EA earns most of its money with the purchases of FIFA Points in the game mode Ultimate Team and not with the sale of the game itself.
