Original article: FIFA 21 TOTY: This is what you can expect in the FUT event

At Team of the Year (TOTY for short) , EA Sports honors the players who drew attention to themselves with strong performances in real football last year with particularly strong special cards .

In FIFA 20 , for example, Kylian Mbappé (98 OVR) , Lionel Messi (99 OVR) or Virgil Van Dijk (99 OVR) were in the team that, along with the Team of the – Season , has the strongest cards in FUT mode at the end of the – Season .

TOTY players can be found in card packs from the start of the event , even if the probability of drawing such a kicker is negligible. Nevertheless, the TOTY also causes a crash on the transfer market every year :

The prices for almost all other players drop considerably, which is why resourceful FIFA 21 players can snag some bargains.

FIFA 21 TOTY Prediction

Since the FIFA 21 TOTY honors the best players of 2020 , the achievements from the previous and current football – Season  count . After the record – Season with the treble, the players of FC Bayern Munich should be sure of a few places in the Team of the Year .

World goalkeeper Manuel Neuer should have a place, just like Joshua Kimmich and Robert Lewandowski . Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are also considered set.

However, since the TOTY is not determined solely by EA Sports, but is also made up of the votes of the players, the selection could contain one or the other surprise – kickers that are particularly popular, even if other players were better in their position.

Thomas Müller (FC Bayern) could probably fall victim to this , who, despite outstanding performance , is likely to receive fewer votes than Neymar (PSG) .

Here is our FIFA 21 Team of the Year prediction:

  • TW: Manuel Neuer (Bayern) – 96 OVR
  • LV: Alphonso Davies (FC Bayern) – 92 OVR
  • IV: Sergio Ramos (Real Madrid) – 98 OVR
  • IV: Virgil Van Dijk (FC Liverpool) – 98 OVR
  • RV: Trent Alexander-Arnold (FC Liverpool) – 94 OVR
  • ZDM: Joshua Kimmich (FC Bayern) – 95 OVR
  • ZM: Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City) – 98 OVR
  • LF: Neymar (PSG) – 97 OVR
  • ST: Robert Lewandowski (FC Bayern) – 99 OVR
  • RF: Lionel Messi (FC Barcelona) – 99 OVR
  • ST: Cristiano Ronaldo (Piedmont Football) – 99 OVR

FIFA 22 – FUTs

What could be cooler than just relaxed and doing some sofa sports on the side? In FIFA 22, the player is on the move fast, but without getting sore muscles. With the Ultimate Team Event cards, the collecting instinct is now also satisfied. However, the FUT Heroes keep creeping into my mind, so here are the best Ultimate Team Event cards that are definitely worth adding to your collection.

Heroes cards selected by EA for top qualities

Admittedly, the FUT heroes will cost quite a bit of coin, but it turns out that EA has once again brought some top-class players into the game when it comes to selection. As a collector and hunter, it’s an added attraction for FIFA gamers to now include their own favorite heroes in the portfolio and benefit from their individual skills. Both in the game and in team building, the FUTs will revolutionize the game once again.

EA SPORTS FC: FIFA GAME SERIES TO BE CONTINUED UNDER NEW NAME

Of course, the soccer simulation game series will not be discontinued completely. After FIFA 23, EA will relaunch the game under the name EA Sports FC and market it independently. Old FIFA hares should now become quite an ear, after all, the EA Sports Football Club used to be a part of the actual game for years. A lot of playing was rewarded, points could be collected and items, boosts or balls for the individual game modes could be unlocked.

In this context, there could also be a complete revolution of the classic game. There is a heated discussion in the FIFA community about whether the game, which is expected to be released in the fall of 2023, will be free-to-play. This option is said to be on the table for the game makers from EA, because: It seems that EA earns most of its money with the purchases of FIFA Points in the game mode Ultimate Team and not with the sale of the game itself.
