There are a few surprises among the top 10 FUT 21 cards this year. In the second part of our FIFA 21 Tips we look at who are the top 3 players in each position and find out if we were right with our predictions.
FIFA 21 Tips: Best FUT 21 Cards in Each Position
You know that: The new FIFA is just around the corner and the planning for your own FUT team starts all over again. What kind of team should it be this year? Which players are you dying to have in FUT 21? Do you bet on a specific league or are you building a hybrid team? Don’t worry, we’ll introduce you to the best cards in each position in our FIFA 21 tips .
The best goalkeepers in FUT 21
3rd place: Alisson (Liverpool FC) – 90 OVR: Compared to FIFA 20, the Liverpool goalkeeper has risen by one point in the rating and has gained a lot, especially in handling (+4 points).
2nd place: Marc-André ter Stegen (FC Barcelona) – 90 OVR: No changes in the German goalkeeper of FC Barcelona. In FIFA 20, despite having a lower rating compared to No. 1, he was the best option in FUT mode. Is he number 1 again this year?
1st place: Jan Oblak (Atletico Madrid) – 91 OVR: Oblak achieved the highest TW rating in FIFA 20 and is once again enthroned above the competition this year. At least there was a point in the reflexes.
The best left-backs
3rd place: Alex Sandro (Piemonte Calcio) – 85 OVR: Pace, defense and physique drop by one point, but the Brazilian keeps his overall rating and secures 3rd place.
2nd place: Jordi Alba (FC Barcelona) – 86 OVR: It’s down a point for Alba, who has to lose feathers in pace, defense and physique.
1st place: Andrew Robertson (Liverpool FC) – 87 OVR: The Scot in the service of Liverpool FC climbs by two points. A little too much if you ask us. Should be really strong with the Anchor Chemistry style.
Best central defenders in FUT 21
3rd place: Kalidou Koulibaly (SSC Napoli) – 88 OVR: The Senegalese also has to lose a point compared to FUT 20, but still ends up in the top 3. Thanks to outstanding defensive and physical values an absolute power in Serie A .
2nd place: Sergio Ramos (Real Madrid) – 89 OVR: Nothing changes in the overall rating, but Ramos improves in passing, shooting and defense and should dominate La Liga teams again together with teammate Varane.
1st place: Virgil van Dijk (Liverpool FC) – 90 OVR: Surprisingly his rating does not increase in FIFA 21 Ultimate Team. But VVD was the best central defender last year, and that will not change this time either.
right-back
3rd place: Kyle Walker (Manchester City) – 85 OVR: His rating increases by one point, otherwise not much changes. The cheaper option compared to No. 1 at the right-back position.
2nd place: Carvajal (Real Madrid) – 86 OVR: Once again the best right-back in Spanish La Liga – we are curious to see how Nelson Semedo’s rating will turn out.
1st place: Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool FC) – 87 OVR: Of course Trent is enthroned in 1st place. No wonder after such an outstanding – Season . The Englishman gained a whopping four points.
ZDM / ZM
3rd Place: Toni Kroos (Real Madrid) – 88 OVR: Kroos finishes 3rd in center midfield (tied on points with N’Golo Kanté). Best eighth overall in FUT 21. But on the pitch? It will show.
2nd place: Joshua Kimmich (FC Bayern Munich) – 88 OVR: +2 points on top and a position change to central defensive midfield. Kimmich is the second strongest ZDM card in FUT 21 (on paper).
1st place: Casemiro (Real Madrid) – 89 OVR: The rating of the Brazilian increases by two points. We wonder how he deserved this. Anyway, Casemiro is now officially the best central midfielder in FIFA 21.
Left Midfield / Left Wing
3rd place: Eden Hazard (Real Madrid) – 88 OVR: The FIFA 20 cover star has lost a whopping three points after his bad luck with injury, but still finishes in third place.
2nd place: Sadio Mané (Liverpool FC) – 90 OVR: Mané increases by two points. No wonder, since he was Liverpool FC’s best player last – Season . Finisher chemistry style up and down.
1st place: Neymar (Paris St.-Germain) – 91 OVR: Nobody knows exactly why he drops a point in the rating. However, Neymar is still the best choice on the left. Not least thanks to five stars on the weak foot.
Right Midfield / Right Wing
3rd Place: Jadon Sancho (Borussia Dortmund) – 87 OVR: Okay, PSG’s Angel Di Maria is level on points, but Sancho has the better stats and is up a whopping three points compared to FIFA 20. Should be hotly sought after by Bundesliga teams.
2nd place: Mohamed Salah (Liverpool FC) – 90 OVR: No change in Salah’s rating, at least one point each for dribbling and physique on top. But still 3 stars weak foot. Disappointing.
1st place: Lionel Messi (FC Barcelona) – 93 OVR: Messi once again secures the best card in FUT 21, even if his rating drops by one point.
Central attacking midfield
3rd place: Thomas Müller (FC Bayern Munich) – 86 OVR: Marco Reus is no longer number 1 in the Bundesliga. Thomas Müller overtakes the Dortmund captain and takes third place in the ZOM together with Alejandro Gomez and David Silva.
2nd place: Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United) – 87 OVR: After 2 informs and 2 POTM cards, the Portuguese’s rating also increases by two points. Two is Fernandes’ distinctive number as he is ranked 2nd in FUT 21 and 2nd in the English Premier League.
1st place: Kevin De Bryne (Manchester City) – 91 OVR: KDB was awarded Player of the – Season by EA Sports. Nevertheless, nothing has changed in his rating compared to the previous year. Strange, but at least there is enough space for TOTW and POTM cards.
Center Forward / Striker
3rd place: Kylian Mbappé (Paris St.-Germain) – 90 OVR: The FIFA 21 Cover Star goes up one point and again improves especially in shooting and dribbling. Together with Neymar in FUT 21 again an absolute power.
2nd place: Robert Lewandowski (FC Bayern Munich) – 91 OVR: Lewy played the – Season of his life and is recognized by EA Sports. He secures 3rd place in the best FUT 21 cards ever and 2nd place in the forward position.
1st place: Cristiano Ronaldo (Piemonte Calcio) – 92 OVR: CR7 loses a point in FIFA 21 Ultimate Team but still secures the top spot in attack and the second best card overall.
FIFA 22 – FUTs
What could be cooler than just relaxed gaming and doing some sofa sports on the side? In FIFA 22, the player is on the move fast, but without getting sore muscles. With the Ultimate Team Event cards, the collecting instinct is now also satisfied. However, the FUT Heroes keep creeping into my mind, so here are the best Ultimate Team Event cards that are definitely worth adding to your collection.
Heroes cards selected by EA for top qualities
Admittedly, the FUT heroes will cost quite a bit of coin, but it turns out that EA has once again brought some top-class players into the game when it comes to selection. As a collector and hunter, it’s an added attraction for FIFA gamers to now include their own favorite heroes in the portfolio and benefit from their individual skills. Both in the game and in team building, the FUTs will revolutionize the game once again.
EA SPORTS FC: FIFA GAME SERIES TO BE CONTINUED UNDER NEW NAME
Of course, the soccer simulation game series will not be discontinued completely. After FIFA 23, EA will relaunch the game under the name EA Sports FC and market it independently. Old FIFA hares should now become quite an ear, after all, the EA Sports Football Club used to be a part of the actual game for years. A lot of playing was rewarded, points could be collected and items, boosts or balls for the individual game modes could be unlocked.
In this context, there could also be a complete revolution of the classic game. There is a heated discussion in the FIFA community about whether the game, which is expected to be released in the fall of 2023, will be free-to-play. This option is said to be on the table for the game makers from EA, because: It seems that EA earns most of its money with the purchases of FIFA Points in the game mode Ultimate Team and not with the sale of the game itself.
