The FIFA 21 Halloween promo has started. Instead of Ultimate Scream we can expect Rulebreakers this year. What is behind it and which Rulebreakers cards are worthwhile, we tell you here.
Last year, the Ultimate Scream cards in FUT brought some strong players that were even played beyond the Team of the Year in December thanks to big rating boosts. In FIFA 21 the Rulebreakers take their place – with a changed concept. We present you the best FIFA 21 Rulebreakers cards.
What are the FIFA 21 Rulebreakers?
FIFA 21 Rulebreakers are a new series of special cards for the popular FUT mode with an exciting concept. The idea behind it: Take some players who are known for certain stats, lower those very stats, and in return raise the other stats.
For example, Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has a shooting power of 91 with his Gold card, but is completely unplayable thanks to his speed of 68. With his Rule Breaker card, it’s a completely different story:
Here Kane has a whopping 91 speed and that’s with “only” 87 shots left. Since his physique and dribbling also look very good, the Englishman fits perfectly into the FIFA 21 meta. Similarly, Douglas Costa of FC Bayern Munich, for example, has been given an absolute final card.
The best FIFA 21 Rulebreakers cards
The first FIFA 21 Rulebreakers team can be found in the packs since October 23 and brings eleven new cards – supplemented by two SBCs and an Objective Challenge. A second team will already follow on Friday, October 30. Again, we can expect some strong cards. Here are the best Rulebreakers cards in FIFA 21.
Rank 5: Benjamin Andre (OSC Lille)
The French Ligue 1 is one of the most popular leagues in FIFA 21, not least because of the two PSG stars Neymar and Kylian Mbappe. But so far there is a lack of a strong defensive midfielder.
This is where Benjamin Andre from OSC Lille comes in, who has made it to the best list of ZDM players thanks to his speed, defensive strength and physicality. He’s even better than Chelsea FC’s N’Golo Kante, despite having five fewer points overall.

Benjamin Andre is one of the best ZDM players in FIFA 21.
4th place: Marcos Llorente (Atletico Madrid)
The Spaniard is already one of the best midfielders in Spain’s La Liga thanks to his golden card, but rule-breaker Llorente really packs a punch. Although his dribbling value has dropped seven points, all his other stats have improved, in some cases significantly. Speed, defense and physicality in particular look strong.
3rd place: Nordi Mukiele (RB Leipzig)
The Bundesliga lacked a strong right-back in FIFA 21. RB Leipzig’s Frenchman Nordi Mukiele was one of the best options, but he lacked mobility and pace. With Mukiele from Rulebreaker, things look very different.
Currently one of the best right-backs in FIFA 21, but not easy to get: Unlike the other Rulebreaker cards, you have to unlock Mukiele via tasks. Five relatively complex tasks in the live FUT friendly mode have to be fulfilled.
2nd place: Douglas Costa (FC Bayern Munich)
Douglas Costa has been a FIFA memory for years. The Brazilian’s stats always look stellar – the only thing he can’t do is shoot (64 completions). Luckily, now there’s Rulebreakers Douglas Costa, who is already an absolute end-game card.

Rank 1: Harry Kane (Tottenham Hotspur)
The Premier League is and remains the most popular league in FIFA 21. The golden card of the Englishman Harry Kane had to forfeit one point in the overall ranking this year and is hardly playable thanks to 68 speed. How good that there is now the rule breaker Harry Kane, who gains a whopping 23 points in speed (91).
The downgrade of four points in shooting value can be forgiven. An absolute meta striker and the best card from Rulebreakers Team 1, but at just under 1.3 million coins anything but a bargain.

Rulebreakers Harry Kane should be in PL teams for months.
Remains to be seen what cards await us in the second Rulebreakers team, which will be released on October 30 just in time for Halloween. Already, the new FUT-21 promo features some strong cards that are guaranteed to be playable in the coming months thanks to outstanding stats.
