In the top match of matchday 15 of the Dutch Eredivisie, league leader Ajax Amsterdam will face second-placed PSV Eindhoven on January 10. Just in time for the legendary derby, EA Sports releases a new showdown SBC that has it all. We have the SBC solution for Sean Klaiber and Donyell Malen.

The rivalry between the two Dutch top teams Ajax Amsterdam and PSV Eindhoven, also known as “De Topper”, is legendary. This weekend both teams will meet again and just in time you can expect a new showdown SBC for the two players Sean Klaiber (Ajax Amsterdam) and Donyell Malen (PSV Eindhoven) in FIFA 21 Ultimate Team.

What is the FIFA 21 Showdown SBC?

The Showdowns made their way into FIFA Ultimate Team last year and are returning in FUT 21. Here, two kickers meet whose teams play against each other in one of the top European leagues.

Both maps are available as part of a Squad Building Challenge. So if you want, you can simply get both variants. The special feature is that the special cards increase in value, depending on the result of the match.

The card of the player from the winning team gets a boost of +2 points on the total value, and in the event of a draw, both cards get a counter on top.

FIFA 21 Showdown SBC: Klaiber vs. Malen
So if Ajax Amsterdam wins, right-back Sean Klaiber’s card goes up to 87 OVR. If the South-Dutch team from Eindhoven wins, striker Donyell Malen’s card climbs to a total value of 86 OVR.

With a current price of around 75,000 coins, both cards are also roughly equally expensive. The starting positions of the two teams are also roughly the same, with just one point separating the clubs in the standings.

On paper, Klaiber’s card is the more interesting option; after all, the values already look excellent without an upgrade. With Shadow Chemistry Style, the Dutchman achieves a total value of 92 at the right defender position.

In addition, Klaiber brings a perfect link to the hot flashback card of Arjen Robben, who has been difficult to incorporate into hybrid teams lately.

After all, the only meaningful link at the right-back position, the strong Rulebreakers card of Denzel Dumfries, is extremely hard to come by on the transfer market. The reason: FIFA 21 players don’t offer Dumfries because the maximum price of 32,500 coins is clearly too low for the values offered.

FIFA 21 Sean Klaiber SBC Solution
Just under 75,000 coins are due for Klaiber, for this you need to trade a team with the following requirements:

Team with a player from the Netherlands (84 OVR, at least 60 chemistry).

The cheapest solution is a hybrid team from the German Bundesliga and the Portuguese league NOS. Since the chemistry requirement is low, you can use players in positions they shouldn’t be in. Memphis Depay from Olympique Lyon also fulfills the nation requirement.

FIFA 21 Donyell Malen SBC solution
The card of striker Donyell Malen is minimally cheaper than the one of Klaiber, after all the attacker is not quite as exciting as his counterpart. For this, too, only one team needs to be traded, and the requirements are almost the same:

Team with a player from the Eredivisie (84 OVR, at least 60 chemistry).

Since no Dutchman is needed here, the SBC team, on the other hand, looks a bit different. Here we combine different leagues, a total of five Brazilians are used. As a player from the Eredivisie serves us goalkeeper André Onana from Ajax Amsterdam.

FIFA Squad Building Challenges (short SBC)

The FIFA Squad Building Challenges (SBC for short) are about putting together a team according to certain specifications. They are an important part of FIFA Ultimate Team (FUT) and bring coins, valuable packs or special cards when fulfilled.

For the most part, you’ll have to line up eleven players that you have in your club and then send this squad off. These players will then disappear from your club. In return, you’ll receive a reward, such as a pack or a special card. As with FIFA 19, FIFA 20 and FIFA 21 we will report about the latest SBCs for FIFA 22 here and help you to judge if it is worth to complete a challenge.

START WITH THE SQUAD BUILDING CHALLENGES

In Squad Building Challenges (SBCs), you can use your player items to build unique teams based on various challenge conditions. You can then submit these to receive bonuses.

Here’s how:

• From the FIFA 22 main menu, select the FIFA Ultimate Team section.
• In the home page section, select Squad Building Challenges and call them up.
• Select the challenge you want to complete. They are grouped by category.

Create a team.

• Using items from your club or from the transfer market, build a team that meets the challenge conditions. Usually this is a mix of player quality, team chemistry, team value, nationalities, leagues and clubs.

Master the Challenge to submit your team and receive bonuses.

• All SBC submissions cannot be undone. Once you complete an SBC, the submitted items will be permanently removed from your club in exchange for bonuses. Our consultants cannot restore submitted items.
• For some SBCs, you will only have a limited amount of time to complete them. Once a challenge has expired, you will no longer be able to submit a team.

More details about SBCs

1. Some SBCs consist of multiple challenges with individual bonuses and a larger overall completion bonus. Other challenges are single challenges.
2. Some SBCs are repeatable. You have a chance to get different bonuses for each team submission, but you might also get the same bonus.
3. SBCs are available in all FIFA 22 versions, but they can vary depending on the platform. Bonuses can also vary from platform to platform.
