The time has come! The last time Icon Swaps in FIFA 21 and this time you can play the best legends. From Zidane to Pelé to Maradona, it’s all here! But how do you get them? And is it worth sweating at the end? We’ll tell you!
I’ve always been really excited about Icon Swaps. Great legends for free, earn a few coins while playing, it doesn’t get any better than that. Now you can get the best legends in the game for a few hours of play. Is it worth it? Difficult to answer…
The most awesome legends in Icon Swaps 4!
So who can you play for? Let’s start with the players. You can get Kaká Moments for only 4 tokens, which is very little for the Brazilian. Eusébio’s baby icon will cost you 6 icon swaps. In FIFA 20, I would have sat in front of the console for five days straight to get the Portuguese for so little. Well. Times are changing.
The Prime Card of the absolute legend Maradona will cost you 9 icon swaps, Maldini and Zidane Moments will cost you 15 and 17 icon swaps. You can see that. With these cards, the time spent increases immensely.
Pelé as a medium icon for 10 icon swaps is of course also a hefty card. And 10 tiles? I have time, so let me sweat in it!
Icon Swaps: Player Choices as a Strong Alternative
If you can’t decide which player to pick, you can leave it to chance. I know, otherwise these picks are always so random that you feel like there are more bad cards to win than playable ones. But that’s different this time, too.
For example, there’s the 94+ Prime or Moments forward player pick for 14 icon swaps. If you really want an Icon Moments Player Pick (five 94+ players to choose from!), you can get it for a whopping 16 tokens. What else does EA have on the card?
A regular Moments or Prime player pick for 11 icon swaps, as well as a 95+ Icon Moments pack (12 tokens), a 94+ Icon Moments forward or midfield pack (7 tokens), or the 92+ Icon Moments player pick for 5 icon swaps.
Also, you can get the big 81-, 83- and 84+ packs for very few tokens. However, this is less worthwhile since hardly any players are worth anything at the moment.
Is Icon Swaps 4 worth it for you?
You can say that quite clearly. Players like Zidane are not worth playing around. And why? At this point in FIFA, it’s not worth spending 17 tokens. The time investment is enormous, you can better sign other players who are fast and cheap on the transfer market.
But with picks, it’s different. An Icon Moments player pick for 5 tokens is really attractive. Less time spent, thrill of the pick, and potentially a nice legend for your team. It’s fun and (hopefully) worth it! An Eusebio baby icon for 6 tokens is also not worth it. Too weak stats and this year just not the meta like last year.
So our tip for you: pick the cheapest player picks and take one of them! With a little luck you will draft a very good player here. The other packs are only suitable if you have swaps left, otherwise it is too unlikely that EA will grant you something here.
For the soccer romantics among you: Maradona for 9 icon swaps also has its appeal. Enjoying him once again in all his glory at the end of FIFA 21 can definitely make you buck.
It’s the same with Pelé, who is really strong in FIFA this year and guarantees fun! So why not earn 10 tokens? Look at all the possibilities and then decide. The choice is yours.
How can I earn the Icon Swaps?
Who would have thought that? Similar to the last question. Just look in the FUT menu for the Icon Swaps and then the tasks will be listed. Friendlies, squad battles…. it doesn’t get much more exciting than that. Still, they are absolutely doable. But as they say? Time is money. So decide for yourself!
