As you probably already know, EA has not secured the rights to EURO 2020 . The European Championship, which will be held in several countries for the first time, will officially only take place in PES . However, like during the 2018 World Cup, there is now a special event in FIFA 21. The Festival of FUTball is in the game!
What is the Festival of FUTball ?
Exact content for the Festival of FUTball is not yet known. That will only be revealed with the launch on June 11th at 7:00 p.m. However, we can report from our experience and tell you what is most likely to await you.
Already in FIFA 18, the World Cup in Russia was not officially licensed. Even then, EA started a special event during the tournament in the summer.
What content does the Festival of FUTball offer ?
As we did three years ago, we expect similar content in FIFA 21 . We anticipate special country SBCs. So you will have to give up entire country teams to complete the Squad Building Challenges. So keep players from the participating nations!
In addition, the EURO-InForms could come. These would then replace the TOTW that EA has already suspended . For the next four weeks (the EM starts on June 11th and ends on July 11th) you would then have the chance to receive special cards from players who shone during the EM.
And then there are the Classic International Heroes . These cards were for players who are among the stars of their nations but did not take part in the tournament. At the European Championships, it could be Marco Reus or Marc-André ter Stegen for Germany, Virgil van Dijk for the Netherlands , Trent Alexander-Arnold for England and Sergio Ramos for Spain . You see: Potentially really strong cards.
