FIFA 21 RTTF (Road to the Final) is back

We remember: In November EA Sports launched the dynamic RTTF maps , which revolve around the Champions League & Europa League. Certain players on participating teams can look forward to new special cards with improved values .

As the team progresses through the tournament, the ratings increase. From February 16, the UCL and UEL are returning . And with that, the next upgrades of the RTTF cards are imminent.

Champions League round of 16 and the RTTF cards

It starts on February 16 with the game between RB Leipzig and FC Liverpool in the Champions League Round of 16 – both teams also have an RTTF card in FUT mode on the pitch. But how do the upgrades work?

• If a team wins the first leg, the RTTF cards add 1 point
• If the team wins the second leg, the card also increases by 1 point
• Overall, a rating boost of +2 points OVR is possible in the round of 16
• If there is a tie, there is no upgrade

The first upgrade is sometimes already available on February 16th, but the second only on March 17th .

Central defender Lukas Klostermann (RB Leipzig) is already completely overpowered and could have an overall OVR of 87 with two wins . On the other hand, Georginio Wijnaldum (Liverpool FC) already starts at 87 OVR, here a boost up to 89 OVR is theoretically possible.

FUT RTTF: The Europa League intermediate round

Things are a little different in the UEFA Europa League . The intermediate round or the sixteenth final is on the program here, so we are one round further away from the final. Therefore , the RTTF upgrades also behave a little differently :

• Here there is only an upgrade if the team moves into the round of 16
• Overall, a rating boost of +1 point OVR is possible in the intermediate round

The first leg starts on February 18th , the second leg is on February 25th . This means: There is only one upgrade here, but it finds its way into FIFA 21 Ultimate Team faster than in the Champions League.

FIFA 21 Tip: These RTTF cards are particularly hot

Shortly before the start of the UCL and UEL , the prices of the RTTF cards on the transfer market are rising sharply, some are almost unaffordable at the moment .

If you want to strengthen your team or make a big profit, you should keep an eye on the UEFA Europa League , as there are some strong teams with supposedly easy opponents.

You can currently get Ihlas Bebou (TSG Hoffenheim) quite cheaply, the opponent of Hoffenheim (Molde FK) is also beatable. Moussa Diaby (Bayer Leverkusen) , Bruno Peres (Roma FC) , Ante Rebic (AC Milan) and Wilfred Ndidi (Leicester City) are also worth investing in.

All other UEL RTTF cards have risen so much in recent weeks that it is not worth buying at this point in time.

FIFA 22 – FUTs
