It’s Thursday, which means the new Team of the Week in FIFA 20 is here. After last week’s disappointing selection… it doesn’t necessarily get any better this time around. Really, EA Sports?
TOTW 40 got the affectionate nickname “Team of the Weak” from us, because no one really needed it in that form. Now EA Sports has released FIFA 20 TOTW 41, which doesn’t necessarily turn out better either.

Last week we pondered about the sense of the TOTW cards at the current time of FIFA 20, which actually has no real raison d’être anymore after the Team of the – Season or the Summer Heat promo.
Now TOTW 41 is here and the best Inform card just gets an 89 rating? What’s going on there? But hey: as a rating push for the next SBC the cards are still good. Anyway, here is the FIFA 20 Team of the Week 41:

Nothing useful there, right? TOTW 41 is so average that the remaining maps aren’t even worth mentioning. Maybe the developers will finally see sense and skip the next Team of the Week?
What are TOTS in FIFA?
The best players of the past – Season are included in the Team of the – Season . A TOTS consists of 15 players. The stars who were especially good for their clubs in real life can be found in the TOTS of their respective league.
The best: There are not only different TOTS from the top leagues and many more, there is also a vote for all the players who are among your favorites.

TOTS in FIFA 22 started on April 29th. With the Community TOTS as well as the Eredivisie it goes into the weeks of truth in FUT. Who performed and will get in – and who will miss the TOTS cards? We’ll keep you up to date.
FIFA 23 WILL BE THE LAST PART OF THE GAME SERIES UNDER THIS NAME
FIFA 23 will be the last part of the game series to be released under the name of the world governing body and in collaboration with EA. For months the rumor mill was bubbling, now all this has been confirmed by the game makers EA in May 2022. The fact is that after almost 30 years of partnership between EA Sports and FIFA, the license agreement between the two parties will expire with the game FIFA 23.
Already with the launch of FIFA 22, Electronic Arts revealed the following in a blog post: There exists “the idea to rename our global EA Sports soccer games.” According to speculation, the world governing body FIFA has demanded double the amount for a continuation of the cooperation in new contract negotiations with EA. Exact figures have not been confirmed, but it is said to have been a sum in the billions for a total of ten more years.
So it is not surprising that the partnership of EA and FIFA ends with the upcoming game FIFA 23. In the past months it was to be read again and again that the game developers were to have been anyway increasingly dissatisfied with the partnership.
