The FIFA Team of the – Season is the FUT20 event that all players are looking forward to every year. In FIFA 20 EA Sports goes a little bit different way this time – thanks to Corona. The first FIFA 20 TOTSSF (Team of the – Season So Far) has finally been revealed. We have summarized all info, players, SBCs and tasks.

Which players will make it into the FIFA 20 TOTSSF? This question has been on the minds of fans of the popular FUT mode over the past few weeks, with its birthday celebration only in April inviting them in for coffee and cake. EA Sports has finally revealed the first Team of the – Season So Far, all the info is here with us.

What is the FIFA 20 TOTSSF Team of the – Season So Far?

• The FIFA 20 TOTSSF replaces the Team of the Year from the previous years.
• The idea is the same: players will get extra strong special cards in FIFA Ultimate Team 20
• There will be new teams every week, probably for the whole month of May
• A large part of the players will be available in packs
• More cards can be earned in SBCs or goals
• In the Weekend League (FUT Champions) guaranteed TOTSSF cards are now waiting for you

FIFA veterans know that May in the soccer simulation is usually always marked by the Team of the – Season . With these special cards, the developers pay tribute to the players who attracted attention with outstanding performances in the real soccer – Season .

From the goalkeeper with the best saves, to the strongest central defender, to the top goal scorers or assistants in the most important leagues in Europe.

But this year, because of the Corona crisis, everything is different. Already in March the leagues stopped the game operation completely: Without soccer also no new inform cards in FIFA 20 – logical, isn’t it? Accordingly, the FUT TOTS becomes a TOTSSF – Team of the – Season So Far.

Different name, same content

Despite the name change, the content remains largely the same this year. The only difference is that the 2020 TOTSSF maps will launch much earlier, starting today, April 24, with the Community Team and the EFL Team.

Last weekend, users of selected community websites were able to choose a second team. But all players have one thing in common: they are damn strong! TOTSSF cards come with an overall rating of 88 and above, marking the strongest cards in FIFA Ultimate Team. They even make the strongest gold cards look pretty old.

There will be 16 teams in total this year, starting with the English EFL and the Community Team, followed by these TOTSSF teams in the next weeks:

When will the FIFA 20 TOTSSF be released?

Both FUT 20 TOTSSF teams will be available in packs starting April 24, 2020 at 19:00 German time. The special cards are highly coveted and are likely to fetch horrendous prices on the transfer market. So with some pack luck, several hundred thousand coins can be achieved with them.

If a drafted TOTSSF player doesn’t fit into your team, the coins are certainly in good hands with outstanding icons. We have already presented you the best icons for a bargain price.

However, not all new special cards are available in packs. Some of the cards can only be earned through weekly tasks or Squad Building Challenges (SBCs for short).

TOTW Moments takes a break

At the same time the TOTW Moments teams will be suspended starting next week. You still have until April 29th to get the current players. From then on, TOTSSF players can be found in packs as rewards for Weekend League, Division Rivals or Squad Battles. For FUT Champions there are even guaranteed Team of the Year players for the entire duration of the event:

• Top 100: TOTSSF Pack with 11 TOTSSF players from specific leagues.
• Elite 3+: TOTSSF Pack with 3 TOTSSF players from specific leagues
• Gold 2+: At least 1 TOTSSF item from the TOTSSF team of the given Friday
• Silver 2/3: 1 TOTSSF Player Pick with a maximum total rating of 88

Update from 01.05. – Player Moments David De Gea SBC

The Spanish keeper in the service of Manchester United got a strong card. Player Moments David De Gea is still available until 05.05. The price is about 130.000 coins.

Update from 30.04. – Community TOTSSF Kieran Trippier SBC

Another new SBC for the Community TOTSSF in FUT 20: Atletico Madrid defender Kieran Trippier has a 90 rating. 90 pace and defense each make him the second best option in the Spanish LaLiga. Price: around 250,000 coins. Which, however, are well invested.

Update from 04/29 – Ben White EFL League SBC

Leeds United central defender Ben White has been added as a new TOTSSF League SBC to the EFL Championship. Around 250,000 coins are due, but the stats are outstanding: 86 pace, 90 defense, 90 physicality.

Update from 04/26 – Player Moments Goretzka SBC

Gullit Gang in the Bundesliga: Player Moments Leon Goretzka SBC is now available. An overall rating of 91 and outstanding scores in all categories make the central midfielder one of the strongest options in FUT 20.

FIFA 20 EFL Team of the – Season So Far

Right on time at 19:00 EA Sports has revealed the FIFA 20 EFL Team of the – Season So Far. The players from England’s second division include, for example, Kalvin Philips from Leeds United (92 OVR), Aleksandar Mitrović from Fulham FC (91 OVR) or Matheus Pereira from West Bromwich Albion (91 OVR).

Nice, but probably only of interest to diehard fans from the island. Quite different from the community team.

This is how the Community TOTSSF looks like

The Community Team of the – Season So Far has also been released. 23 players, including at least two goalkeepers, six defenders, six midfielders and three strikers. In addition, no league may be represented on the team more than five times.

The selection was made up of professional footballers who were able to draw attention to themselves through special performances in the current – Season , but who were not given more than one special card in FUT 20.

FIFA 22 TOTS Release Date in April – When will Team of the – Season be released?

TOTS in FIFA 22 started on April 29th. With the Community TOTS as well as the Eredivisie it goes into the weeks of truth in FUT. Who performed and will get in – and who will miss the TOTS cards? We’ll keep you up to date.

FIFA 23 WILL BE THE LAST PART OF THE GAME SERIES UNDER THIS NAME

FIFA 23 will be the last part of the game series to be released under the name of the world governing body and in collaboration with EA. For months the rumor mill was bubbling, now all this has been confirmed by the game makers EA in May 2022. The fact is that after almost 30 years of partnership between EA Sports and FIFA, the license agreement between the two parties will expire with the game FIFA 23.

Already with the launch of FIFA 22, Electronic Arts revealed the following in a blog post: There exists “the idea to rename our global EA Sports soccer games.” According to speculation, the world governing body FIFA has demanded double the amount for a continuation of the cooperation in new contract negotiations with EA. Exact figures have not been confirmed, but it is said to have been a sum in the billions for a total of ten more years.

So it is not surprising that the partnership of EA and FIFA ends with the upcoming game FIFA 23. In the past months it was to be read again and again that the game developers were to have been anyway increasingly dissatisfied with the partnership. EA is even said to have found FIFA to be a hindrance in the development of the games.
