Thanks in part to Vanguard, CallofDuty is in its worst state in years. To counteract this negative trend, Activision and developer Sledgehammer Games have postponed the joint – Season 2 for Vanguard and Warzone by weeks.

They wanted to use the time to get the shooter back in order.

However, even after delays and massive new content, – Season 2 fails to convince Vanguard players. The #WW2 shooter mainly still suffers from old problems that have not been improved.

What are the general reactions? Despite the update’s postponement, CoD Vanguard’s biggest problems are still in play. But with the patch also came new problems – some of them are annoying superficialities like broken skins, others cause connection problems.

Accordingly, there are reactions in the community, which is “losing its patience” (via reddit):

• The FilmMakerGuy writes on reddit, “Anyone else get the impression that they just stopped caring after New Year’s?”
• ChiefAnarchy says on reddit, “This has become an insult. The game is a fucking mess.”

These problems are still in the game: Major latency issues and a broken Aim Assist are said to still be in the game (via reddit). Launching games in a group also continues to be problematic.

The shield meta also continues to annoy players due to a lack of weapon balance in the new patch. In addition, spawns are said to be worse than before. This is how enemies start the round in the middle of the enemy team.

These problems came along: Due to the patch shift, players only have 44 days to play to Battle Pass level 100 instead of the usual 56 days. In Warzone there are 71 days available for the Battle Pass, but the fact that 2 different dates are shown does not speak for the update.

Players also report not getting any further than the main menu (via reddit). In addition, the level 100 skin is displayed incorrectly in several respects (via reddit).

How is the new content received? There are still very few opinions about the new bomber killstreak, which is probably due to the fact that only the best players can use it. The new maps, on the other hand, are the subject of controversy. Casablanca divides the community, while Gondola is torn apart:

Clearly negative, however, are the reactions to the new Zombies content, which has made up a lion’s share of – Season 2 content.

New zombie content doesn’t convince: “I can’t stand it”.

How’s the new zombie content? – Season 2 brought a lot of new content for zombies fans, but it failed to convince players. The new content is just as bad as the unloved zombies map ‘The Beginning’, only bigger and a bit nicer.

In a new video by YouTuber PrestigeIsKey, you can tell just by the video structure how dissatisfied he is with the zombie content. The video titled “Terra Maledicta SUCKS – Zombies need a revival …” lasts 10:50 minutes.

After the first 45 seconds he has already formulated all the positive thoughts – and spends the rest of the video on the negative. For example, he says, “I hate it so much. I can’t stand it.”

The players agree with this opinion:

• Pez 7k writes in a comment on the video: “This can’t be fixed, Treyarch should just admit they screwed up and let Vanguard be zombies.”
• @The_Rmxzh tries to set the mood in a invented dialogue to capture:

Also Sledgehammer Games: “We literally rebuilt The Beginning and made you wait a whole – Season for it, lmao.”

Even if – Season 2 in Warzone scores much better with fans – Call of Duty is in a tough spot right now.

This is not only shown by the reactions from the update in CoD Vanguard. Also, that Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 were announced as early as no Call of Duty before, shows the precarious situation of the shooter giant. Activision also sees it that way, openly admitting that they have currently “screwed up”:
