Because the cutscenes of the Warcraft adventure leaked in 2016 are anything but respectable, a fan took them on. He worked on the project for six years, bringing about a comprehensive remaster of the cutscenes. The result looks impressive.
Even though the discontinued Warcraft Adventure from the 90s never officially saw the light of day, fans got to see a playable version of the discontinued title in 2016. However, the leaked adventure had poorly resolved cutscenes with partially asynchronous soundtracks. In order to remedy this, a fan has elaborately reworked a total of 20 of these cutscenes.
Mod contains more than 200 new sound effects
The modder, active under the name DerSilver83, spent the past six years beautifying the compressed files and making them more presentable. He added sound effects and removed artifacts caused by the compression of the cutscenes. Furthermore, he made the following improvements:
- He added more than 200 new sound effects, as well as music tracks from Warcraft 1 and 3.
- The audio track now runs in sync and has been given a noise filter.
- The cutscenes missing from the original leak, which later surfaced as a TV recording, are now included as well. DerSilver83 has also reworked these sequences with upscaling, flicker filters and Photoshop, reworking large parts of the individual frames by hand.
- Logic errors have been fixed.
Blizzard apparently wants to try another Warcraft Mobile trial CAR
According to his own information, DerSilver83 has been working on the project since 2016 and, as a result, spent a whole six years restoring the cutscenes of the Warcraft adventure game. He makes the cutscenes available as a mod for free download. However, if you want to install the mod, you need the leaked version of the adventure, which is hard to find in the depths of the Internet.
