The Imperial Japanese Army, or officially the Army of the Great Empire of Japan, was the military force of the country of Japan after it settled and started to start the industry. Japan’s rapid rise as the dominant Eastern power demanded many raw materials, so the force took over surrounding countries to regain resources. As a result, Japan enjoyed power over the East during World War II until the great crash in 1945 when it was dissolved. The faction appears only in Call of Duty: World at War. Their counterparts on the high seas were the Imperial Japanese Navy.
Call of Duty: World at War
The Imperial Guard appears in the campaign in the Pacific missions. The missions consist mainly of vehicle landings on the beach and combat on the high seas. Throughout the story, the Americans engage in what is known as “island hopping,” meaning traveling from island to island to liberate all that has been settled by the Japanese. This strategy was also used in real life and in World War you visit three islands, Makin, Peleliu, and then Okinawa, where the fate of the Japanese was finally sealed. In the Black Cats mission, the player also takes on the Imperial Guard in the air.
multiplayer
The multiplayer character models look different depending on which weapon the player is using. The rifleman wears a camouflage suit with body armor, meshed helmet, and lots of foliage and leaves for camouflage. This is arguably the most effective camouflage on any map in World at War. The Assault Rifle Soldier wears no helmet and only light armor. A submachine gun player wears an officer’s hat with a helmet and has a Type 100 ammo case on his chest. The shotgun player plays a high-ranking officer in a cap and uniform. And a player with a light machine gun is muscular but doesn’t have a cap and only wears light camouflage.
zombie mode
Dead soldiers are introduced in the fight for survival through the map pack 2, where you fight on the map Shi No Numa (literally translated: the swamp of the undead). Zombies will come running out of the foggy swamp toward the command post. The Electro-Traps from Mad are returning, but new ones are being added as well, and this is the Hellhound’s debut. The map’s design is based on Knee Deep. Shi No Numa returns in Call of Duty: Black Ops as DLC. Also, one of the main characters, Takeo Masaki, is a former Imperial Guard soldier.

Info
- The Imperial Guard is the only team in Capture the Flag that also has their multiplayer icon as a flag. The Marine Raiders have the flag of the USA, the Wehrmacht has the flag of Nazi Germany, and the Red Army has the flag of the Soviet Union. This is because the flag of the Imperial Army was also the flag of Japan.
- The Imperial Guard is the only faction in World War that does not use a semi-automatic rifle or rocket launcher in a single player.
- The Japanese have a very different fighting style from their archenemy counterparts, the Wehrmacht. While the latter prefer heavy gunfire, open field combat, and retreating from enemy fire, the Japanese rely on ambushes, banzai attacks from hiding in the grass and trees, and suicide attacks with grenades.
- You are the first Asian military in the Call of Duty series.
- If you surprise the Japanese and come running from the side, for example, they sometimes fire their Arisakas semi-automatically.
Call of Duty
The Call of Duty series has existed since 2003 and in addition to various spin-offs, including for the handheld systems Nintendo DS and Sony PSP, 14 major titles of the series have now been released. Ever since the first part of the series, great emphasis has been placed on the online multiplayer mode in addition to the single-player campaign, which is also reflected in the development of the shooter series. Since the first Call of Duty, World at War, which was developed exclusively by Treyarch, each part also included cooperative challenges that you could play together with friends. The latest installment, Call of Duty: World War II, also features an extended multiplayer mode that puts you and your friends in the combat zones and famous battles of World War II. Using the divisions, you’ll be able to choose between the deadly sniper and the brute armored division and support your comrades in battle. In addition, World War II also has a zombie mode “Nazi Zombies”, as in its predecessor Call of Duty: Black Ops. Face the monsters of the Third Reich and win glory and honor.
