Faction Call of Duty – FSB

The Federal Security Service, or FSB for short (Russian: Федеральная Служба Безопасности; ФСБ ) is the domestic security agency of Russia. It deals with counter-terrorism, state affairs, border control, economic security, and things like that.

: Modern Warfare 2

FSB troops can be seen in Modern Warfare 2 with protective gear and  shields as they storm Zakhaev International Airport after Vladimir Makarov and his companion’s massacre during the No Russian mission. Makarov himself calls it FSB, and this abbreviation is written on newspaper clippings in his hideout in Loose Ends. This appears to be a bug on Infinity Ward’s part, as they have badges from virtually every faction in the game. They call Makarov and the newspaper snippets and the emergency vehicles they take to the airport FSB. However, the insignia on the left sleeve means “Internal Force”, which is the insignia of Russian support troops in certain units. Also, on her chest and back, it translates as “MVD RF,” which doesn’t make any sense. This means they wear the insignia of the FSD, the MVD, and the Internal Forces of Russia.

In the game’s opening scene, FSD troops are also shown unveiling a statue of Zakhaev as the Ultranationalists take control.

In one of the special forces missions, they are described as enemies, which is wrong, because they were just placeholders for a long time until real NPCs of the ultranationalists were created. The ultra-nationalists with riot shields, which you discover in the campaign and later also in the special unit, do not belong to the FSB.

The FSB also provides normal protection for Zakhaev Airport, the employees wear dark blue pants, light blue shirts, red ties, a bulletproof vest, and various pistols and submachine guns.

Call of Duty

The Call of Duty series has existed since 2003 and in addition to various spin-offs, including for the handheld systems Nintendo DS and Sony PSP, 14 major titles of the series have now been released. Ever since the first part of the series, great emphasis has been placed on the online multiplayer mode in addition to the single-player campaign, which is also reflected in the development of the shooter series. Since the first Call of Duty, World at War, which was developed exclusively by Treyarch, each part also included cooperative challenges that you could play together with friends. The latest installment, Call of Duty: World War II, also features an extended multiplayer mode that puts you and your friends in the combat zones and famous battles of World War II. Using the divisions, you’ll be able to choose between the deadly sniper and the brute armored division and support your comrades in battle. In addition, World War II also has a zombie mode “Nazi Zombies”, as in its predecessor Call of Duty: Black Ops. Face the monsters of the Third Reich and win glory and honor.
