For Wadid, the 2018 World Championship Quarterfinals is more than just a match; it’s a homecoming. After leaving his hometown of Busan, South Korea to play in the EU LCS, the G2 support finds himself back in Busan with the chance to make his name on the Worlds stage. Standing in his way are the LPL champions Royal Never Give Up, led by arguably the best player in the world in Uzi. The expectations of RNG couldn’t be higher. But for Wadid, playing in front of his family and his city, the chance to defy expectations is exactly where he wants to be.
