As a world champion and world footballer, Lothar Matthäus has immortalized himself in the history books. Accordingly, the German legend is set as an icon in FIFA Ultimate Team. The mid-icon card of the Franconian is also unlockable in FUT 22 since the weekend via Squad Building Challenge (SBC).

The SBC has it all. As is customary with icons, many teams must be traded in for an overall high price. Specifically, nine different squads must be turned in, worth approximately 1.2 to 1.3 million coins.

Matthäus is one of the better legends in FIFA 22 in his mid-icon version. Due to his high defensive values as well as his overview and the corresponding pass, the world champion of 1990 is an ideal defensive midfielder and at the same time a control center between defense and attack.
Nevertheless, the SBC price is somewhat expensive at more than one million coins. It can only be worthwhile if there is already enough SBC fodder and not all cards have to be bought on the transfer market. Otherwise, it makes more sense to buy the card directly, because it is then minimally cheaper and even exchangeable.
