Schalke 04 had announced the suspension of its youngster Isma on Monday, just hours before their match in the EU Masters. As it turned out later, this was due to insults that Isma had written to a teammate in the solo cue.

“An insult in the world of may have a different weight than in the world we operate in as Schalke 04. However, we try to make it unmistakably clear at all times: We do not stand for hate and toxic behavior,” Schalke clarified in a statement on Twitter on Wednesday.

“It’s a shitty situation for the players, but it’s not Schalke but Isma’s fault,” tweeted “Skyflap”, coach of Prime League Div 2 team Kaufland Hangry Knights. “I think there needs to be an urgent rethink here, flamers belong ostracized, not supported!” wrote LoL Influencer Johnny.

Isma, meanwhile, has apologized for his behavior via Twitter. He said he was sorry for what he had said and wanted to make sure that this would not happen again.
