Everything you need to know about FIFA 23: News, Leaks, Release, FUT, Gameplay, Trailer & more

The 22 – Season is still in full swing. But EarlyGame wants to keep you up to date with all information about . We collect all important news and give you an overview: When is FIFA 23 release, are there any leaks and will the new FIFA really be called EA Sports FC?
Many games are moved and postponed, delayed forever – or don’t appear at all, although they were announced so big. With FIFA it’s different. Every new – Season comes a new FIFA, that’s as sure as the tension in the Champions final.

So, when will the new FIFA be released? What can we expect? Which changes are already known before the release? We tell you everything what is already known about the new part and of course we update this article as soon as we get new information.

When will FIFA 23 be released?

The exact release date for FIFA 23 is not known yet. But it is already sure that a new FIFA part will be released in autumn. As a short overview you have here the release dates of the last parts. So you can see the approximate time when FIFA 23 could be released.

You know the procedure of new FUT events: Friday is the day of days. For FIFA 23 we predict the release on September 30th this year.

Since we all want to start as early as possible to have a full FUT bank account, it is worth to pre-order. In the last years pre-orderers had access to the new FIFA three to four days before. We expect a similar release schedule this year as well.

When will the FUT Web App for FIFA 23 be released?

The Web App (or the Companion App) is released a few days before the release of the new FIFA part. In FIFA 21, the Web App came on September 22. Also for FIFA 23 we expect the launch of the Web App about one week before release.

When will the FIFA 23 beta and demo be released?

If you want to play before the release of the new part, you can only play the beta. In FIFA 22 it ran from August 13 to (planned) August 31. However, only people in North America were eligible to participate, and because of the many leaks from the beta, EA Sports ended it early. So we already knew at the end of August that the goalkeepers will be overpowered (at least at release).

There will be no demo for FIFA 23. At least that’s what we assume now. Because the last demo was for FIFA 20 – for FIFA 21 and FIFA 22 there was no free demo.

When will the preorder access for FIFA 23 start?

If you pre-order, you can play FIFA 23 earlier. This was the case the last years and is also expected for the next part. As soon as we know more about this we will update this article.

Which editions and versions of FIFA 23 will be available and how much will they cost?
If everything goes as usual, there will be different editions and versions of FIFA 23. They differ (partly) by the platform, but mainly by the bonuses that are included in different editions. Also the price is different depending on the edition.

We expect the same lineup of editions for FIFA 23 as for FIFA 22.

On which platforms will FIFA 23 be released?

Regarding the platforms, we are already sure that EA will not neglect any console (except maybe Nintendo’s Switch). We hope that the differences for FIFA 23 between the current console generation and the old one won’t be as big as with FIFA 22.

Is FIFA 23 in the Gamepass?

Whether FIFA 23 will be included in Microsoft’s Gamepass at release is currently unknown. But we assume that it will be included as soon as possible after release and you can play it without paying the full price.

Is it possible to play FIFA 23 with EA Play?

Thanks to an EA Play membership you can play selected games from Electronic Arts in advance. We expect this feature for FIFA 23 as well. You could test FIFA 22 with EA Play for 10 hours before the release. This will probably replace the beta this year as well.

Does FIFA 23 have crossplay?

It would be about time, wouldn’t it? In FIFA 22 there was no crossplay at release. Pretty much every other title gets it right, so it would be more than appropriate for FIFA 23.

EA has added crossplay to FIFA 22 during the – Season , so we firmly believe that FIFA 23 will come with crossplay.

What changes will there be in FIFA 23?

Of course, from the official side there is no announcement at all about any changes, innovations or fresh features. However, it’s no secret that EA Sports will drop some great buzzwords around the new FIFA again in terms of upgrades to the graphics and gameplay. All we can say is hypermotion.

In terms of gameplay, the current installment is certainly among the better ones of recent years. Haters gonna hate, but the overall gameplay feel is satisfying in FIFA 22. They still exist, the pace monsters, but simply running through them is hardly possible. This is especially pleasant in FUT.

FIFA 23 FUT and Weekend League changes
For FIFA 22 a big change leaked out long before the release: The Weekend League in FIFA 22 comes with less games. And even if it didn’t really catch on yet, but the WL is actually called FUT Champions.

What other changes around Rewards, – Season s or Playoffs we will tell you here as soon as we know it. There will be some new special cards and promos in FIFA 23. For FIFA 22 and Ultimate Team EA had the Heroes at the start.

For the career mode we hope for some new features of course. The career mode in FIFA 22 is simply disappointing – at least if you have gambled properly in the parts before. Except for a few new statistic pictures everything is the same… Sure, you can create your own club and turn it from a no-name to a Champions League winner. But that was already in FIFA 13, then disappeared and is now back as an “update”. There must be more in the future.

Maybe EA Sports will listen to us and finally let us stand on the sidelines with original coaches in FIFA 23.

FIFA 23 licenses – EA loses the Mexican league BBVA
Concerning the licenses the changes are already known. At last it became clear: The Mexican league BBVA MX will have an exclusive deal with Konami. And also in the Serie A it looks magical.

After Juventus Torino (Piemonte Calcio), AS Roma (Roma FC) and Lazio Roma (Lazio) EA loses another license in Serie A to competitor Konami and eFootball (PES). SSC Napoli will not be included in FIFA 23. The exclusive partnership with AC Milan also ends in July and will not be renewed. However, the players will remain in the game officially and under their real names, because EA has extended the contract with FIFPro.

If you are looking for more information about the leagues and clubs in FIFA 23, we have something for you.

So the publisher has the rights to a lot of soccer stars all over the world. But with the club names it’s a thing. It is still unclear what Napoli will be called in FIFA 23. And while we are talking about names: FIFA 23 might not be called FIFA 23 at all…

Will FIFA 23 be released under another name?

FIFA and EA Sports could not agree on an extension of the naming rights. The story is quickly told: In 2022, the naming rights contract between EA and FIFA expires. The developer has even already officially secured the name “EA Sports FC”. And that’s exactly what EA’s soccer simulation will be called, EA Sports FC, starting in 2023. There are also rumors that FIFA wants to continue FIFA 24, so the association probably wants to develop its own game.

Will FIFA 23 be called EA Sports FC 23? No. FIFA 23 will still be called FIFA 23. The contract between FIFA and EA is still valid for the upcoming game. Of course FIFA also knows that EA is cashing in every year (especially thanks to FUT). For example, the world governing body is now said to be demanding 860 million euros for the next four years. If you want to read all this in peace, we have several articles for you:

Is EA Sports FC replacing our FIFA? Everything about the name around our favorite game
EA boss with statement: The name FIFA has more meaning as a game than as an association
Will FIFA 23 be free-to-play?
There have been speculations about that for a long time, too. The model is Konami’s eFootball, with which they wanted to take Pro Evolution Soccer to the next level. After an extremely messed-up start, however, that went down the drain.

UFL could also take off as a competitor. The soccer game from Strikerz Inc. has already secured a deal or two with stars and big clubs of international stature. In addition, the game will be free of charge. Could you already take a look at the new – Season (if it is already there then…).

At the moment we don’t think EA will change anything in the money printing machine FIFA. They do know that a lot of people put a lot of money into FUT – but why should they give up on the fact that we all put down at least 60 euros every year for the game itself anyway? If more info about the “free-to-play leaks” emerges, we’ll keep you updated, of course.

Who will be on the FIFA 23 cover?
Who will be the cover star of FIFA 23? A question which we will follow with a lot of anticipation. At the moment we think that Kylian Mbappé has a very good chance to complete his hat trick and to be on the FIFA cover for the third time in a row.

With many rumors swirling around the French superstar, it will also be interesting to see where he goes. Alternatively, we could also imagine Erling Haaland on the FIFA 23 cover. The shooting star will probably also leave BVB in the direction of an absolute world club. One to Real, the other to ManCity? One of both will be on the cover! Let’s say…

FIFA 23 Trailer
Of course there are no infos about the trailer yet. The short video clips are rather so la la anyway. For FIFA 22 we were bombarded with terms like hypermotion – how the new FIFA will actually feel, you never know anyway because of the pretty render trailers.

FIFA 23 Leaks and News
That’s not enough for you? Well we have summarized here all leaks and news which are relevant for FIFA 23. As soon as more things are released, we get to know more or there is even a sign of a name change or a Weekend League innovation, you are right on EarlyGame. We tell you everything about FIFA 23.

FIFA 23 RELEASE – WHAT IS KNOWN SO FAR

FIFA 22 is still in full operation, but in the background the game makers of EA Sports are already working on the next part – FIFA 23 will be released in autumn 2022.
But under which name will the classic game be continued in autumn 2022? As things stand, it is not at all certain that the game will continue to bear the name of the world association FIFA. We have the most important information about FIFA 23 for you, why the game series will get a new name and on which consoles the next part of the soccer simulation will be available.

WHEN WILL FIFA 23 BE RELEASED?

We can’t give you an official launch date for the next part of the FIFA game series yet. EA hasn’t communicated much in this regard yet, so so far we can only assume that FIFA 23 will be released in the period between mid-September and early October 2022, just like its predecessors. In the past years, the latest launch date of a FIFA game was October 06.
