Every Tuesday night we bring you the latest player transfers from the world of Esports. After its official release, Valorant is getting more and more traffic from the Esports scene, especially CS:GO is losing a lot of players.
With Skadoodle, Hiko and dapr, three more CS:GO pros move to Valorant and League of Legends legend Uzi ends his playing career due to ongoing injuries.
CS:GO: Another loss to Valorant
TYLOO: Xeta moves to Valorant
The CS:GO scene loses another player to Riot Games’ new tactical shooter Valorant. Seonho “Xeta” Son announced he is ending his CS:GO career and moving to Valorant.
Xeta played for a long time in Korea for GOSU, among others, before moving to Chinese team TYLOO earlier this year. He played several big events, such as IEM Chicago 2018, IEM Sydney 2019, ESL One Cologne 2019, and IEM Katowice 2020, and was recently benched after returning from gaming in Kiev due to the Corona pandemic. Now he announced that he wants to continue his career in Valorant. We wish him every success.
Secret: tudsoN is Free Agent
TudsoN was originally part of the m1x roster that was acquired by Secret last November. He is the second player after rigoN to leave the roster since then. He was benched by Secret in mid-May after he announced he wanted to play as an AWPer again, as they preferred to continue with Guy “anarkez” Trachtmann. It has now been agreed that tudsoN will leave the team. According to his tweet, he is looking for a new team but really wants to play as an AWPer. We hope for his sake that he finds a team quickly before we lose him to Valorant as well.
DETONA: The Roster is complete
The Brazilian organization DETONA has completed its CS:GO roster with Renato “nak” Nakano, Romeu “zevy” Rocco and Guilherme “pitiaz1n” Barbosa.
The 32-year-old nak is a Brazilian veteran of the CS:GO scene and recently left RED Canids. Now he will lead the DETONA roster as in-game leader. Zevy moves up from the organization’s own Academy Team and piriaz1n is another promising young player who previously played at Keyd.
Valorant: Even more CS:GO pros switch sides
T1: Skadoodle rounds out the roster
Former CS:GO pro Tyler “Skadoodle” Latham completes T1’s first Valorant roster.
T1 was the first organization to begin building a Valorant roster early in the closed beta – Brax was the first player to switch. AZK soon followed, followed by crashies, food, and fRoD. Skadoodle now rounds out the roster, reuniting with his former teammates from iBUYPOWER, Brax and AZK. T1 doesn’t seem to think this team is enough though, as they recently announced plans to enter the race with three Valorant rosters – the US team, a Korean team and an Academy team.
Hiko has been active in CS for 18 years and started his CS:GO career almost ten years ago. In 2013, he was even named the ninth best player. He played for Cloud9, Team Liquid, OpTic and Rogue, among others, and participated in numerous majors. He has been a Free Agent for a year now and has complained several times about how few opportunities the CS:GO scene would offer veterans like him. With Valorant he now sees a new chance to give his career a little push. We wish him only the best and hope for many good games.
Sentinels: dapr completes the roster
The organization announced that CS:GO pro Michael “dapr” Gulino will complete their Valorant roster.
The Sentinels roster consists of some high profile players from the Esports scene, such as Overwatch legend Sinatraa and former CS:GO pros ShahZaM, SicK and Zombs. Dapr is particularly known for his time with eUnited, for whom he regularly competed in the ESL and FACEIT Pro League. After his last team, the Bad News Bears, disbanded, he already announced his intention to join Valorant. With the Sentinels he has definitely found one of the most promising teams. We are curious to see what else we will get to see.
Dota 2: Two completely new teams
B8: Only Dendi left
After their 24-loss record, Dendi completely restructures his team. Except for him, none of the former players are there.
The new members are relatively unknown and have little to no experience in competitive Dota 2. For the most part, they come from Tier-Two CIS teams and the hope is that they can come together to form a successful team. It remains to be seen what Dendi can do with Crystallis, LastHero, 5up and fishman, but yesterday they did win their first game in a long time. We definitely wish them more success than they had with the old roster.
EXTREMUM: A new CIS team enters the ring
The CIS roster, inactive since the beginning of May, parted ways with three players and brought new blood into the team with Dmitry “Nefrit” Tarasich, Maxim “mellojul” Pnyov and Vasily “AfterLife” Shishkin.
Abdimalik “Malik” Sajlau and Vladislav “BLACKARXANGEL” Ivashchenko remain inactive in the team, only Egor “.Ark” Zhabotinskii leaves it completely. With Nefrit and AfterLife EXTREMUM has picked up two very talented veterans of the scene, who together with mellojul, as well as Fedor “Velheor” Rusihin and Sergey “God” Bragin should form a strong team. It remains to be seen how the new roster will perform.
League of Legends: A Legend Retires
RNG: Uzi ends his playing career
Due to several ongoing wrist and shoulder injuries, which had already led to a break during the Spring Split 2020, Jian “Uzi” Zi-Hao now ends his playing career completely.
With eight active years, Uzi has been with LoL almost since the start. Over the years, he built a reputation as an extremely mechanically savvy player, reaching two World Championship finals, as well as winning a Mid– Season Invitational and several Chinese trophies. Considered one of the best LoL players of all time, he scored the most kills at the 2014 and 2017 Worlds and is also the first player to reach the total of 2000 kills in all leagues. Through years of intense training, Uzi suffered several injuries and had recurring problems with his wrists and shoulders that he couldn’t control even with breaks from playing. We don’t know anything about his future plans yet, but we hope to see more of him, be it as a streamer or maybe even as a coach.
Call of Duty: Three-time world champion retires
Seattle Surge: Karma ends his gaming career
Three-time CoD World Champion Damon “Karma” Barlow is ending his career as a professional CoD player.
Karma is considered a GOAT (Greatest Of All Time) in the Call of Duty community and last played for Seattle Surge. He has been active in CoD for almost ten years and won a total of three World Championships with Impact, comPlexity and OpTic Gaming. He justifies his decision by saying that he doesn’t like the current Call of Duty and has lost the desire to play. He also doesn’t want to return with a new part of the series, as he is convinced that it will also bore him after a few months at the latest. However, a tweet that followed shortly after suggests that Karma could return as a coach.
FIFA: SpiderKong is on the search
AS Roma Esports: SpiderKong’s contract expires
Miguel “SpiderKong” Bilhar’s contract at AS Roma Esports ends in September and he is already looking around for a new team.
On Twitter, SpiderKong thanks Roma, his coach and his teammates and announces that he has already been given permission to look for a new club for next – Season . He emphasizes that he intends to find a new team and also lists some of his achievements, such as ninth place in the world ranking in FIFA 20 or Brazilian champion in FIFA 17. We wish him good luck on his search.
Overwatch
Overwatch is a computer game by Blizzard Entertainment (Diablo 3, World of Warcraft) and a first-person shooter with individual fantasy elements. The game was released in May 2016.
In Overwatch, the player must choose between 21 unique characters, which can be freely selected in a loosely held classification system (offensive and defensive class, support unit and tanks).
A character’s three to four different abilities can be controlled and activated through the mouse and keyboard. The game modes already vary from scoring points to cargo hauling. Team play is required in both modes, as each character takes on a specific role in the battlefield (e.g. heal teammates, provide backup, or secure defensive lines).
The name Overwatch derives itself from a fictional elite military unit that came together when robots tried to subjugate humanity in a near future. Individual characters are associated with this unit in the game, while others oppose it. It is not yet known whether the storyline will continue in multiplayer.
Brawl
Brawl is a game mode in which time-limited rule variations of the well-known modes are drawn. Sometimes completely new game modes are used in Brawls.
Rule variations include, for example, the restriction to certain heroes or classes, changes to the cool-down times or certain cards. New game modes that have been playable so far include a soccer game and a PvE mode.
Usually, Brawls are restarted as Brawl of the Week every Tuesday at 22:00 UTC and are then playable for a week. On certain occasions, such as – Season al events, Brawls may also be playable for a longer or shorter period of time.
The game mode is comparable to the card chaos from Hearthstone and was activated for the first time in the beta phase on March 22, 2016 through a patch.
