Overwatch League announces tournament format for May

Esports is currently in a state of flux and restructuring, as the MSI for League of Legends has been cancelled and the Summer Split has been postponed until June. The Overwatch League is now bringing its own changes with a new tournament format being introduced for May.

OVERWATCH-PATCHNOTES – 30.6.2020

Starting with – Season 23, both role selection and free role selection will be available in ranked matches. There will be separate queues, so teams from role selection will not play teams from free role selection. Free role selection will have its own level of play (SN) and leaderboard, separate from role selection’s role-specific SNs and leaderboards.
