Escape from Tarkov-style game mode on board?

The rumors about the “” spin-off for the year 2022 continue. As a known insider source wants to know, a mode will be offered, which will be based on the successful multiplayer shooter “Escape from Tarkov”.

In recent weeks, we have regularly received fresh rumors about the latest “ of Duty” spin-off for the coming year. The title is in development at Infinity Ward and, according to several insiders, is supposed to be a direct successor to “” from 2019.

In addition, there was talk of players taking up the fight against a drug cartel in “” and can look forward to a campaign in which they can influence the further course of the plot with their decisions to a certain extent. The Twitter user and leaker “RalphsValve”, who has made a name for himself as a credible insider source several times in the past, is currently causing fresh speculation about the next “Call of Duty”.

A breath of fresh air for the multiplayer?

As the insider wants to know, the developers from Infinity Ward will not only take a new approach to the staging of the campaign. According to “RalphsValve”, a new multiplayer mode is also part of the game, which will be somewhat reminiscent of the successful multiplayer shooter “Escape from Tarkov”. Depending on the size of the lobby, 20 to 35 players compete against each other – either solo or in the form of squads with two to four members.

The task of the players, respectively the teams, is to hijack a designated loot and then retreat to an extraction point to bring the loot to safety and take the victory. In order to make the mode interesting in the long run, according to “RalphsValve” it can be played on different maps, which sometimes differ from each other quite significantly. There is also talk of a bazaar and a gunsmith, who can produce new or existing ones.

However, please note that the statements of “RalphsValve” have not been commented on by any official side so far. And we shouldn’t expect the official unveiling of Infinity Ward’s new “Call of Dutys” before mid-2022.
