New gameplay

Player and ball behavior

The behavior of the players and the ball, the basis of the sport, were developed from scratch. With the help of research institutes from Japan, the trajectory of the ball in particular was improved. The behavior of the ball on the field was analyzed and the factors that influence the behavior were determined accordingly. Using these research results, realistic game experiences could be created.

Tactical Duels

In addition to controlling the behavior of individual players, it is now possible to have tactical duels by enabling elements of team behavior from modern soccer. Individually and as a team – the basics of these game elements have been completely rethought so that real scenarios from real games can also take place in the game and feel more familiar. Bringing all of this together, these changes enable a soccer game in which “soccer-like” decisions can determine victory or defeat at any point.

“Dream Pass”

This is one of the most groundbreaking mechanics integrated into the game. Whether it’s a flat pass, a high pass, or a cross, players can now play all kinds of crucial passes with “Dream Passes.” The feeling of playing the final pass and the sense of achievement when players overcome the opponent in this way has never been greater.

“Dream Pass” Variants

  • Flat dream pass: A sharp pass directly to the teammate’s foot. For longer distances, the ball will lift off the ground.
  • Lofted dream pass: A lower and sharper pass than the normal lobbed pass.
  • Deadly dream pass: A sharper variant of the normal lethal pass that lands closer to the receiver.
  • High deadly dream pass: A sharper variant of the normal high lethal pass with a slightly lower trajectory. Also, the ball lands closer to the pass receiver than normal.
  • Dream Cross: A slightly lower and sharper cross. The ball also flies a stronger curve.
  • Flat dream cross: Sharper and more spin than the normal low cross. The ball bounces right in front of the receiver

Dream shots

  • Faster and more accurate than the normal shots with a variety of trajectories.
  • With this update, players can now use dream shots to attempt different types of shots based on player skill.
  • With all dream shots, the player needs more time to charge the shot. Players must weigh this risk and come up with a strategy for doing so.

Pass-and-Run (Crossing)

The new system allows combinations through diagonal movements, as often seen in real soccer. In this way, new offensive patterns are created in the center of the field and on the outer lanes.

Defensive tactics and change of defensive control

With this part of the update, the defensive repertoire of players has been adjusted so that the ball can now be taken away more intuitively. Player behavior has also been improved to make defensive moves even more satisfying. In addition, elements of team defense have been added to the game to ensure that the best results can be achieved by making the right decisions.

Print

  • This is a command with which the players can proactively win back the ball
  • Players will move towards the player with the ball and, once in range, will attempt a tackle.

Man-to-man defense

  • Man-to-man coverage can be used to better control nimble dribblers. Instead of proactively attacking the opponent, the player in question is closely observed and tracked
  • The opponent is steadily pushed to the side, offering the opportunity to wait as a player for a favorable time to win the ball.

Demand pressure

  • A command that results in the team actively approaching the team with the ball via deliberate movements.
  • This feature ensures that his teammate puts pressure on the player with the ball, which allows the player to choose between space coverage and double coverage.

Assemble team in “Dreamteam

“Dream Team”

This is a brand new game mode (associated with “- Season ) in which users can create their own team of players and managers using in-game items (for example, GP earned by completing matches) and play against other players from around the world.

  • In “Dreamteam” users can sign handpicked players and managers
  • Users can develop and strengthen players through and a level system so that they better suit their own style of play.
  • Players must be signed and improved to create the ideal team playing style to suit the user, bringing them one step closer to the “dream team” and soccer philosophy.
  • Users can compete against other “dream teams” from other users anywhere in the world. In special events*, users can also play against the AI for special rewards.

Thematic fun in conjunction with “- Season “.

A “- Season “, which is active for a certain period of time, will be themed events in which users can compete with their “dream team”.

  • Each theme of each – Season will be based on current topics related to real soccer.
  • There will be challenge events for multiplayer games and tour events for single player events.
  • When users sign up players and assemble them into a team that fits the theme of the – Season , unique advantages can be gained in these events*.

*These in-game events will start from April 21.

eFootball™ League*

This is the division-based league where players can play their way to the top in PVP duels. Users can create their own “dream team” and then compete against other players worldwide.

  • Each “phase” will last for 28 days. In this phase, players have the goal of advancing to the highest possible division by playing numerous matches.
  • If players reach the “promotion” mark after ten games, they will advance to the next higher division. Conversely, if players do not reach the “Remain in League” mark after ten games, they are relegated.
  • If a user reaches the highest division (Division 1), the game is played for the ranking within the division, not for the chance of promotion anymore.
  • At the end of each phase there will be rewards corresponding to the highest division achieved. Rankings will be reset afterwards and a new phase will begin.
