Echo the Locator is a cosmetic item from Dota 2 that can be used by all heroes of the game. You can equip it on the ‘Ward’ position to replace the default ones. It was added to the game with a patch dated October 30, 2014.
Function
Once you have Echo the Locator on, all the Wards you set in the game appear differently. They are small bats that hang upside down from a pole. Their eyes appear yellow on Observer Wards and blue on Sentry Wards.
Obtaining
You can unpack Echo the Locator from the Treasure of the Rotten Gallows. It is a rare bonus find that is distributed in addition to a set.
