EA Sports gets exclusive licenses – Serie A only in FIFA 22

The license fight goes into the next round. EA Sports has secured exclusive rights to Series A. You can find out which clubs are affected and what the whole license theater means for  22 here!

It’s getting disgusting. After Konami recently secured the exclusive licenses for Atalanta Bergamo and Lazio Rome, EA’s revenge is not long in coming. The publisher has not only grabbed the exclusive rights for Serie A, but also the licenses for a whopping 14 teams. In other words: In FIFA 22 , 14 Italian teams appear exclusively (!). Juventus, AS Roma, Lazio and Atalanta don’t exist in FIFA , but they do in eFootball. And before we forget: two teams will be available in both games. That we can still experience that.

So one of the most interesting leagues in Europe will continue to be broken. Who wants to gamble with Piemonte Calcio or Bergamo Calcio in FIFA ? Who wants to get into the bootleg of Serie A in eFootball ? Once again, the license dispute between the two publishers is extremely annoying. Nevertheless, we give you an overview of what you can expect with the new deal between EA and Serie A in FIFA 22. Here we go!

FIFA 22 and Serie A – That brings the license deal

EA Sports has secured exclusive rights to 14 teams. In addition to the name of the , there are also two-thirds of the league unique to FIFA 22. Juventus, Atalanta, AS Roma and Lazio are still missing, but that doesn’t seem to hurt EA that much. But Konami suffers badly: In eFootball there are only 6 teams with their real names and crests. That’s really nice. Not.

In addition, EA Sports also became the official partner of the Italian Super Cup. So in FIFA 22, Italian football gets a significant upgrade. In Ultimate Team, too, a lot will revolve around the country of the European champions. Through the licenses, for example, there will also be a Series A FUT Team of the – Season  and a Series A POTM . The Team of the Week should also be upgraded as a result.

While this all sounds fancy, it still makes you cry. Series A continues to be torn apart among money-hungry publishers. The exclusive deal is not necessarily a reason to buy FIFA 22, because with Juventus, Atalanta, Lazio and AS Roma there are still very big clubs missing in the game. By the way, in 2022 Napoli should also jump off to the competition. So we’re excited to see what’s to come!

FIFA 22 – FUTs

What could be cooler than just relaxed gaming and doing some sofa sports on the side? In FIFA 22, the player is on the move fast, but without getting sore muscles. With the Ultimate Team Event cards, the collecting instinct is now also satisfied. However, the FUT Heroes keep creeping into my mind, so here are the best Ultimate Team Event cards that are definitely worth adding to your collection.

Heroes cards selected by EA for top qualities

Admittedly, the FUT heroes will cost quite a bit of coin, but it turns out that EA has once again brought some top-class players into the game when it comes to selection. As a collector and hunter, it’s an added attraction for FIFA gamers to now include their own favorite heroes in the portfolio and benefit from their individual skills. Both in the game and in team building, the FUTs will revolutionize the game once again.

EA SPORTS FC: FIFA GAME SERIES TO BE CONTINUED UNDER NEW NAME

Of course, the soccer simulation game series will not be discontinued completely. After FIFA 23, EA will relaunch the game under the name EA Sports FC and market it independently. Old FIFA hares should now become quite an ear, after all, the EA Sports Football Club used to be a part of the actual game for years. A lot of playing was rewarded, points could be collected and items, boosts or balls for the individual game modes could be unlocked.

In this context, there could also be a complete revolution of the classic game. There is a heated discussion in the FIFA community about whether the game, which is expected to be released in the fall of 2023, will be free-to-play. This option is said to be on the table for the game makers from EA, because: It seems that EA earns most of its money with the purchases of FIFA Points in the game mode Ultimate Team and not with the sale of the game itself.
