Dota 2 teams are planning for Berlin Major

The 2023 is underway, and fans of are eagerly watching the events unfold. The second tour of the circuit ended on April 3, with multiple regions boasting perfect scores, making the competition for the Berlin Major all the more exciting. With the completion of Division 1, 18 teams have now qualified for the Berlin Major.

However, there is some drama brewing, as a video investigation on YouTube has accused multiple high-profile teams and players of match-fixing. The video has put the integrity of the DPC at risk, and Valve, the game’s developer, is expected to investigate the allegations closely.

Despite this, many top-tier Dota 2 teams are planning their trips to Berlin, including TSM, , beastcoast, , , Execration, Team SMG, PSG.LGD, , Team Aster, , ex-HellRaisers, Team Spirit, BetBoom Team, Team Liquid, Tundra , Gaimin Gladiators, and OG.

The Berlin Major has a prize pool of $500,000 and 2,700 DPC Points. Players looking to take a share of the prize pool will need to place at least eighth at the , as finishing anywhere between ninth and 18th place will result in zero dollars in prize money and zero DPC points.

The format for the Berlin Major is as follows: 18 teams will be divided into two groups of nine and will play a single round-robin group stage. All matches during this period will be best-of-twos. The top four teams from each group will move on to the main event in the upper bracket, while the fifth and sixth-placing teams will start from the lower bracket. All remaining teams will be eliminated after the group stage.
